Very successful search today with both my Sovereign and Explorer

Couple weeks ago at the Oxford Museum Sylvia came in wanting to know if there was anyway to search her barn that burnt down. Her barn was built back in the mid 1800s.I explained to her a metal detector wouldn't work well around a building destroyed by fire, just too much debris.Anyway I gave her...

Couple more days and I'm going hunting with the Sovereign

I know a park close by that will have some nice dry spots. Will be nice to get some field time in and test my hypothesis of targets shifting in frozen ground. My battery pack is charged and my bag loaded with my digger, trash bag,and headphones. LOL tomorrow should be a good day to kick off my...

This should be a good season this year?? whats your opinion??

This season should yield some interesting finds. With the record cold temps and the frost in the ground deeper than ever maybe a lot of targets shifted to be exposed.A visit or two to some of my worked out parks will test this theory. How many people here think this is a possibility?? Thanks Ron

    Improvements to my 180 meter

One of the problems with my meter was the user had to use a screw driver to calibrate the meter. My new meters will be more convenient with a calibration knob located in the back. Also the inlet RCA plug was moved from the front to the back for cosmetics and a stronger place to bolt down.HH Ron

Just like to share a photo of a Whites Classic ID

I followed Mr. Bills instructions and built this modded Classic.LOL if it performs as well as it looks and air test this will be a great little detector. The little 600 coil will air test further out than the 8 inch Pro Scan coil.Mr.Bill earned every penny spent by his customers. Thanks Ron

Bought a IDX Pro for a flip and after trying in a trashy park decided this detector is amazing.

Even with the stock nine inch coil pulled out a wheat in the middle of thrash. The IDX doesn't have tone ID and all the other bells and whistles, but is sure fun to search with, and will be part of my arsenal.HH Ron
