    Bounty hunter coil question

That's what I've been trying to tell you. The Discovery 1100,2200 and 3300 operate at the same frequency as your Big Bud XL. 6.6 khz

Ferret Hot Head coil High Energy

Made by the same manufacturer that produced the Discovery Electronics Treasure Baron coils. Ferrets were available for Garrett and Whites. Most were marked with either a 'W' for Whites and 'G' for Garrett. Price would be around $50-$75. Only trouble is...Whites 600 coil is too close in size...

    Whites 6000 D vs. 6000 DI ????

The later 6000/Di Professional series have a 'Sensitivity' knob to increase power. The original 6000/Di Series 2 and 3 didn't. The black box 6000/Di replaced the 'Signal Balance' for 'Sensitivity' adjustment.

    Whites 6000 D vs. 6000 DI ????

The 6000/D has a depth meter and the 6000/Di has a discrimination indicator(VDI) meter. The units that have a meter mounted at the front of the handle started with the 'Series 3'. The earlier models were on the control housing.

Kellyco (Discovery Electronics/ Treasure Baron) Cobra 2 Question

Yes,you are correct. I really like using the Barons. I have a plastic box Millennium CoinTrax Baron with V2.2 microchip. Best detector to use around hothocks and usually doesn't get fooled by iron.

Where Are The New Fisher Models ?

I'll probably catch flak for this, but I think the Quest machines ran with the T2 platform and the build quality is better. The top end units are submersible. Just my 2 cents.

    Bounty hunter coil question

Your big bud xl should work regardless of cable color (gray or black). I don't understand about the meter not working. The xl uses a push in connector like most typical 1990s bounty hunter metal detectors.

    Tesoro Toltec 2

The Toltec II was unique in that you can use it with or without the meter. Plug the coil's cable into the back of the meter and the extra cable from the control box to the meter.
