F75 stock coil vs 9.5x5.5 dd

The small football shaped coil is great for woods hunting. The one I use pinpoints very close to the nose of the coil instead of near the middle like my other F75 coils.

Another run at the old city park

The coins just keep coming out of some of the worked over areas due to the newer models. Nice hunt.

    Finally I got back out!!!!

It's nice to find a deep one once in a while to confirm that the detector and your hunting methods are doing well.

    back up plan paid off

A productive day. good call on the backup plan. When i'm on a detecting road trip I always have a plan A,B,and C. It has paid off many times. Nice find on the silver Rosie.

    DST in reverse

The DST 9.0 verses 9.1 has been debated for years. Fisher has denied the controversy in the past and they have stated that the manual is correct. I believe the best thing to do is exactly as you have done, and do some testing to decide for yourself what is "off" or "on" with your own machine...

Still working on the 1900's children's playground...

Good hunting. When I use a hunting process that is very tedious,I too wear out mentally sooner than when hunting with other "normal" techniques. That's when it pays to rehunt the same area on another day to recover any missed deep and iffy signals. Looking forward to another updated post on...

    FEW KEEPERS

Indian Heads with great patina and lots of detail are one of my favorite kinds of finds. Very nice.

    Old School Silver

When I find a spot like like I always go back the second time with the goal of finding at least half as much a I did the first time. I don't see any nickels in the pile, got to be some there. Nice 3-4 hour hunt.

A Recovery for My Dad / Gaming token pile / Sterling Bracelet / Possible 3-legged Buffalo Nickel

Nice finds. That sure looks like a three legged Buffalo. The three legged always shows the hoof just as yours does.

F-75 Ltd: Musket Balls - Best settings

You stated you were running the sound at 3H and All Metal. Do you mean 3H "O" Discrimination ? As others have stated 97-99 readings are never good targets. Are you remembering to Fast Grab Ground Balance ?

Where Are The New Fisher Models ?

#fishermetaldetector In the comments on the F-Pulse,Fisher Research Labs states they are "working"on a Multi-Frequency machine.

    1859 O Yeah!

I also think that is old damage on the Half Dime. There may be some good ferrous items in the site. Was the iron spur a surface find?

    Silver dime doesn't always shine

That's good news, hopefully you can remember where they were dug and can return to the site.

Change in settings leads to silver rosie and ihp

I have found that one of the main reasons coins continue to be found in heavily hunted areas is because on a particular day the chosen settings and conditions are what worked for that day. Some of these variables that make a difference are ground moisture, time of day, grass height, direction...

    Clad

There are some who say that silver can be found easier in dry soil verses wet soil. I have never tested this theory. $9.26 in clad is a good outing to stay in shape with.

Unbelievable silver hunts 3 halves well 6 with my friend joes also Spanish KG 22 silvers at the river Wednesday!

Nice group of coins. The site must have been a long term used area. The Half Reale doesn't seem to fit the time frame. Maybe it was lost under a different circumstance. Nice hunting !

    Coils.

Yea,It's a nice coil for woods hunting, the various twigs and weeds don't get caught up like the open coils do. I also sometimes use it in the farm fields when I am in an area that has lots of iron. When I want to pinpoint I pull the coil "back" towards me and use the toe for pinpointing.

    My First Silver Thimble!

Congrats on the bucket lister. I found a silver thimble early on about 40 years ago, but have never found another, only steel and aluminum since then.

Todays farm field hunt with my Nox 800!

Nice finds. All the farm fields in my area have been planted and are well on their way. The corn here is about 4 feet tall and the beans are bushed out to the point there is no room between rows. We are also in great need of rain. That 1700's field seems like a great area.

    Pennsylvania?

Most ghost towns are on private property. Always get permission before hunting any private owned location. It's a lot more fun hunting when you have permission and are not constantly looking over your shoulder. There are several internet sites that can provide property owner names for land...
