    I looked up Lake County Geology and found the soils and rocks are all from glacial till meaning it is not a local rock but transported by glaciers that brought soil and rocks from Canada or gouged out the great lakes most likely Erie.     First off you would be better served if you move this to the Rock and Mineral Forum. Second, what is the light source for the blue? And exactly what bulb are you using that turns it yellow? Some minerals will change color depending on light source but this is a mystery to me so far.

    I'm guessing aquamarine too. If fluorite I would expect to see more cleavage planes. It's a beautiful specimen if it is. Can you scratch it with a knife? If not then most probably aquamarine. If you can it's most likely fluorite.

    Hard to tell, If it's hexagonal it's not a diamond, they are cubic. If you have a piece of quartz see if it scratches that. Now if you wife has a nice blue sapphire ring it would scratch that. Oh wait, bad idea. :)

    I think that solves the question, it's a tar or asphalt of some type. The quartz, I'm pretty sure, was part of the mix.

    That's an odd one. The light mineral on the inside looks like Quartz. that black stuff is odd. Can you scratch it off with a knife? It just doesn't look like a natural coating from the picture.

    Looks like a piece of quartz from a sand and gravel deposit. I don't know what the yellow stuff is but probably some form of quartz or chert.
