OK, then others should try it if they want.

    New trick, by accident!

All that should have happened was the depth readings should be incorrect. It looks like that is all that was happening from your explanation.

Detech 13" Ultimate DD coil for White's V3i

Good, now as far as modulation it should be on your live controls under search audio. Very seldom should you need to go to the expert menu except the program section. That is if you have the live controls set up.

    Program Question?

Yes the +/- means there is another program in the library with the same name but it does not have the changes you made. The changes are only made to the copy of the library program you have in your program list in the 6 block menu.

    Program Question?

Shaffer 44 you almost got it right. You said, If you make changes, turn the machine off and then turn it back on at a later time and change to a different program, like coins, then the changes on the C&J revert to the original C&J unless you made changes to it and then in the expert menu saved...

    Is the MX5 9 inch Spider V rated ? Probably not !! Thanks !

It is V rated you don't need to look. Supposedly the same performance as the 9.5 coil but center mounted and a little lighter. When it first came out I asked to test one and Carl said I wouldn't notice any performance gain over the 9.5 coil.

    Changing tones

I use the 5 tone on the iron range to tell where the iron is and it sounds like a ticking sound. Some people like this while others don't. I like to know what's in the ground. The more information the better. As an example Magic would reject the range of his soil for him it was -95 to -88...

    Wrong depth readings

Remember unless you are in pinpoint the on the fly depth reading is just not that accurate.

    VCO vs Rachet

????? I don't know most people use VCO, I do.

    Changing tones

I just depends on how much iron you want to hear. Setting it to 5 just makes the iron audio less tiring to the ear yet letting you know it is there. Most of the time I have it just eliminate rusty nails. I'm sure you have some of those.

    Changing tones

The ones you don't want are set to zero. You can also set the ferrous targets you don't want to a low number like 5. Then you will hear ferrous like a ticking Geiger counter. I like to know when I'm in iron. -95 to -6 set to 0 I would set coins to 1 tone and non coins to a second tone at least...

I happened to see you posted on another forum. They don't seem to talk about the V3I over there.

Brand new v3i user/experienced ctx user

From my experience asking one question per post usually gets better and more detailed answers.

    Display battery level

    No, not the VX3.

    Display battery level

In the expert menu go to configure and then go down to status line. You then have 3 choices of what shows on the status line.

    RX and Disc

These adjustments are made from the live control sensitivity button. This threshold is not the audio threshold you hear. Disc sets a "threshold". The Disc threshold is the horizontal line you see in the drawing. Adjusting the Disc moves the line "threshold" up or down. Any signals above the...
