    V3i Video

Sorry Bill but anytime you change gain or programs you should ground balance. This is the information from the engineer who wrote the software for the V3i. All I did is make a true statement of how to run the V3i correctly. What else can I say. I've posted the correct procedure before on the...

    V3i Video

Guys I watched a you tube video where the guy is comparing a CTX3030 and a V3i on a 10" quarter. If you are running yours this way you are wrong. Any time you change programs or any of the gains you need to ground balance. I can't post the link because it has advertising.

10x12 or is it 12x10 sef coil

Depends what and where you are hunting. I wouldn't use the 12x15 in moderate trash, in parks or for coins.

10x12 or is it 12x10 sef coil

There were problems with the black 10x12 SEF when used with the V3i. The same happened with the early white ones. Some worked and some couldn't run full RX. The coils were fine they couldn't content with the 22.5 frequency. I haven't heard of problems in a long while. When I tested the white...

    v3i vs mxt pro

It is now gotten nonproductive. The forum is intended for help with the V detectors. Comparisons would be better in the main Whies forum.

    v3i vs mxt pro

I owned an E series MXT which I always used in relic mode. I had I for many years and I liked it, a lot. The MXT series is an older detector and a cheaper priced detector. Because of that I wouldn't doubt more have been sold than the V3i. Now I don't mean this in a bad way but if you really...

The White 10x12 SEF (old link)

Sweeper would you explain more in detail. I've found no problem and use a SEF most of the time for coins.

Why was post deleted on V3i video didnt have ad?

OK, just repost it on the metal detecting forum. I believe that is he only place they allow detector comparisons. That's my guess.

new 950 v rated coil for my V3i, love it. 1944 dime first 10 minutes

Well have fun with the discussion about the coils, I'm not an engineer so I don't have your expertise. Why not go to Carl's forum (Geo Tech) and discuss it with him. You might also try reaching him a First Texas.

new 950 v rated coil for my V3i, love it. 1944 dime first 10 minutes

Both coils are concentric coils. Concentric coils are less affected by EMI than DD coils. The 10" coil is a DD coil. The old 950 coil was a solid filled coil and therefore could not be rebuilt. The 9" spider and 10" can be rebuilt and are not epoxy embedded and are therefore lighter. According...

    V3i unstable cure

Changing programs wouldn't change the electronics in any way. Seems like a hidden glitch in the program. I'm glad you are good to go.

    Salt Water Beach Hunting?

All VLF detectors lose the ability to see small gold when in salt mode. So if you can G/B in the dry sand switch out of salt mode, then switch back in the wet sand.

    Salt Water Beach Hunting?

Of your coils you need to use the 9.5 which is a concentric coil. Use the salt beach program and either mixed mode or stereo mixed mode.
