    interesting observation

I read another post you made and you gave more information. If you are running the programs in stock form at 3" to 4" for targets the V3i should see them in all but the very worst ground. Have you done a coil test? Have you tried another coil?

    interesting observation

I don't know what your settings were on either machine but I owned an MXT at one time. Try the same experiment a few times but reverse the two machines and use the M6 first.

Never used White's 4x6" Eclipse Shooter DD Search Coil

C/J runs a higher sensitivity, that's about all except as you stated the discrimination. Unless you want only US coins go with C/J.

Never used White's 4x6" Eclipse Shooter DD Search Coil

I like squirrels settings. Don't be afraid to drop down to 30 to 35 on the RD. You will find in heavy trash lower RX can be better. This keeps the coil footprint smaller. Separation is more important than depth in your situation.

    Whites Super 12 coil

SS for the 12" only was V rated, it should do rx15 with boost off

    Whites Super 12 coil

Check on the mounting tab of the coil. The number will start with a V. Do the test for a good coil. If it passes the RX15 you are good to go I lost my old notes, but there where a few 12" v rated coils that started with SS if I remember.

    Polar Plot or Sizing

Not fully, set up two different programs and you will see that some options will be the same in both. Experiment and you will see. For instance if you could have a different gain in both you would have to G/B each time you pulled the trigger. If you set RX to 9 in one program it will set 9 in...

    Polar Plot or Sizing

No you can't. If you select a single frequency mode, search, pinpoint and analysis will all be single mode.

    V3i Trash Tip

Good going, you might find it easier to use all metal mode instead of pinpoint. You might try consistency instead of intensity. It might make the spectragraph easier to read if the bars are jumping around. Try both and see what you like better. Correlate instead of best data might quiet down...

    13" Ultimate coil

I was asked in a PM. Hello Rob, I did a search for the 13" Ultimate coil for the V3i but came up empty. Would you happen to know if the 13" Ultimate coil would work on the V3i? My answer would be NO. Now I know we had a post where someone said it worked on their V3i. However, the seller makes...

    V3i performance

I knew what you meant. Magic just rejects those numbers (-95 to -89) because they are the VDI range of his soil. You need to find the VDI of your soil in the UK to get the same effect. Most people reject +95 because that is the VDI the V3i assigns to targets it doesn't know.

    Looking for the old timers

I was looking for some of the old timers. I was curious if you are still around or if you have switched detectors. Drop me a PM.

    Nickel ID

Man, I'd like to see a photo of that inverted T. I've never heard of this. It would to super to have.

    V3i Switch Reversal

It is as loud as you want. It will be as loud as you are hearing the targets from the V3i through the headphones. You just turn up the V3i target audio. The main advantage to the DX1 was it discriminated so you weren't chasing ferrous in a deep hole. The disadvantage was it added weight to the...

    V3i performance

Matt, I didn't notice you were new to the forum. They don't allow comparisons between detectors on this forum. You should be able to in the general detecting forum.

    V3i Switch Reversal

When I used a SunRay that's what I did. I could flip the switch forward so I didn't need to hold the pinpoint switch when using the in line. Good luck.

    V3i Switch Reversal

I'm not sure what you want to accomplish. If I read you right the answer would be NO without a different switch.

    V3i performance

Matt, we actually don't need the Deus settings. Most of us have never used the Deus and don't hunt your coins, in your soil. I gave him two programs used in the UK. I can help him with the V3i, how to use it, what adjustments do what, how to make adjustments, and trouble shoot the unit. The...

    Polar Plot or Sizing

"The POLAR PLOT contains MORE visual data than Pin-Point, but requires the viewer to be more technically savvy, to translate it into relevant factors related to the target". Those of us that don't use the anaysis screens start in the Spectragraph screen and then go to the pinpoint. We are...

Gold Coin VDI'S & Dominant Frequency...

If you want to spend the time search through the old posts. The photos are there a well as the attempts to guess which screens showed gold. I don't understand what you are trying to prove.
