    Ground Tracking No Double beep

Unless you mark targets and hit them with both coils or both detectors you can't say which is deeper. We had a field we hunted with 2 guys and two different detectors. After we hit the field ( actually a small lot) every way possible we came back the next day and found Indians and silver.

    Time to retire

I'm ready to give up being the moderator. I have had a good run and hope I have been of help. I know there are many who would be happy to take over and will do a great job. I plan on being around the forum and may answer a question or two now and then. Good luck and happy hunting. I'm still...

    Ground Tracking No Double beep

Ground tracking would have no affect. Recovery delay is what determines how close objects can be detected. RECOVERY DELAY Once the recovery delay cycle is started by encountering a target, the V3i will give a certain recovery time" to the process. It doesn’t matter how many targets are in the...

    Robs Links

The only way to reinstall the links would be to repost so I would have something to link to. No reason to link to incomplete posts. Again, I don't know why the posts are incomplete. Replys in the posts show the information was complete when it was posted by me.

    Robs Links

Here is an example. One of my links was, http://www.findmall.com/read.php?66,1788607,1788607#msg-1788607, "Why make it harder". Now use the link, all the info is gone. It stops with the letter I. I didn't do it. When my computor crashed, I lost many of my backups were lost. I don't know how many...

    Tracking causes noisy operation

The reason is people are intimidated by all the options. They can't understand that many options and menu choices do not affect performance. I think I wrote a post in the links. If they just concentrated on the performance features. Look at all the people buying the VX3 because it offers less...

Found solution V3i, Stock Coin Program using 7.5 freq w/8x6SEF

The point we are trying to make is VDI for a coin change with depth, soil type, angle of coin etc. I've dug many nickes that read 19 only after they are out of the ground. I get nickles out of hunted out sites because people are only digging perfect 19 readings. It is nothing for a coin to read...

    ground balance for salt water

I asked some questions. Why aren't you using the salt beach program? This program has both salt compensations already set for you. I don't know what relic would improve at the beach. What do you think adjusting the SAT is doing for you? This was to manteno's question, "is it better to turn up...

Found solution V3i, Stock Coin Program using 7.5 freq w/8x6SEF

It is accepted practice that if you where looking for a target with a VDI of 19 you would need a spread of 5 VDI. For that 39 you are looking for you would need a notch of at least 37 - 41. Except for +95 I have no positive VDI set to zero. Too many factors cause VDI shift.

    ground balance for salt water

OK I was letting you guys talk it over. A couple of questions why aren't you using the salt beach program? What do you think adjusting the SAT is doing for you? Why are you using relic mode ????? I missed where this troubled beach is located.

    Tracking causes noisy operation

You can G/B in either mode, lock or auto. If you press the menu button before laying down the tracking stops you it will not change the G/B from trash or air.

    Tracking causes noisy operation

Just press the menu button before laying down and then pull the trigger before starting to hunt. The GB will be the same as before you laid it down.

    VDI Tone 0

Good you had some luck. "I watched the ID as I checked the target and saw it flash to 70 then back to 52. I started digging and did not find the target where I thought it should have been. A quick check with the Detector and I saw the ID had changed to a steady 70 or higher." I always pinpoint...
