Can we have a Mine Lab rep please respond to the questions posed below in the post about hot rocks

as the question of proper noise canceling technique has come up as unclear and it would be a great help if you could clear this up for everyone. Specifically how to noise cancel, in the air, on the ground, or both?? And whether noise canceling twice, once in the air and once on the ground...

Farm fields, moisture and wind, learned something this week

Last week, had allot of rain, went out to some farm fields and found some nice seated lib's, barbers, Indians, a civil war token, and a real nice fire opal cuff link, nearly 1000 dollars in coins; a great 2 days:cheers:. This week, Wednesday was my birthday and my 20 year old son who is always...

Why are my Coil Tec coils not working very well with my SE??

I have (2) 15 inch WOTS, 1 new 1 used. The 5x10 Joey coil, and the 8.5 x 11 Platypus. I am wondering if anyone who also has an SE has had good results with these coils, as I, am not. I get awesome results with all the Excelerators SMALLER than the 14 inch and all three of the Sun Rays. It seems...

How many wish the SE also had a manual ground balance option???

All and all I 'd say the auto ground balance seems to work seamlessly. ML is very secretive about their auto ground balance which is, from what I read, MAYBE tied in also with the noise cancel function in mysterious ways .I don't know if the harmonics effect how the machine reacts to the...

Does anyone know who the chief designer or engineer is on the Explorer???

I posted that question on a tech form and nobody replied.

Results of testing my repaired F 75 :surprised:

I put a quarter on a yard stick with some duct tape and I cannot swing that yard stick past my coil fast enough for that machine not to be able to pick up the quarter. This thing is impressive. In an air test, I can pick up a dime at ten inches and have it ID correctly and a quarter at about...

Well, they are fixing my F-75:thumbup:

You may have remembered my post about my Sun Ray Pro head phones not working with my machine, my F-75's signals being chopped short and not repeating, and my 5 pin connector being way too tight. Well, Felix called me and said that they checked it out and yes the 5 pin was no good (they replaced...

Mine lab Se owner looking to ad another detector any suggestions on which Tesoro???

I have a F75 that I am not too impressed with and am looking for a different detector with a faster response time than my EX SE and yet can still get comparable depth. Most my hunting is coins but I also want something that does well on gold nuggets. So far I think I have narrowed it down to...

If Sun Ray made MORE different size coils for the Explorer who would order some?

Sun Ray makes a 5, 8 and 12 inch round. I have all three including their probe. I just wish they made more sizes as well. After owning just about every coil made from all manufacturers, it has become pretty obvious to me that my Sun Ray coils are just made better and stand up to the abuse this...

How many of you blokes have ever hunted Florida's famous Treasure Coast???

Taking a trip to the eastern shores of Florida to do some beach hunting between Christmas and the New year, any advice on what's good and bad?? Gonna take the kids to Disney and Sea World which should be lots of fun. We are going to stop in NC at a public gem mine and do some treasure hunting...

For those of you on or near Florida's Treasure Coast

I am planning a trip to Florida between Christmas and the New Year and I was hoping to get some insight into current beach conditions before I treck the 1500 miles from Iowa. Like most of you guys, I to, am really good at getting to my destination of a road trip, finding my first choice sites...

Have something to keep you guys real busy during freeze out

Try and buy a used stereo microscope for looking at your coins and finds. Get a book like "Cherry pickers' Guide"; tells and gives values for die cracks, over dates and etc. You will be amazed at how many of your Barber series coins (common dates) under a microscope have these valuable flaws...

One last thing, and I'm done

Remember years ago when people were afraid they were getting brain tumors because the radio waves were traveling through their skull into the phone???? What ever became of that, anyway???? Have you guys ever gotten your head to close to your coil while recovering a target and heard that loud...

Head phone comparison between Sun Ray gold and Rat phones

I started with the Sun Ray Golds on my SE and I like those fine but they wouldn't work on my F-75. I thought maybe I shorted a wire or something. So I ordered a pair of Rat head phones so I would have something to use while I sent in my Sun Ray's. Anyway I compared the two and with the Sun...

I finally figured out what's with my F-75

It's not the coil because the small Fisher coil I got reacts the same way as the stock. My tones are yippy, crushed and not repeating on known good targets in clean ground. My Sun Ray pro Gold headphones wouldn't work on my F75, worked fine on my SE. However my Rat phones and Koss work on the...

Everyone read this please as it infects us all

All of us have experienced similar receptions as in the post "los angeles barrio hunt" below:ranting:. I have a solution and it's quite simple: Mine lab, Whites, Fischer, Tessoro and all the major players in this field should band together in a public service type announcement (a commercial)...
