Got the new smaller coil yesterday

It's white and yes filled with black epoxy, didn't come with a cover, they may have forgot? Gonna try it today, it is small, so now I have a big and a tiny, would of preferred a medium 7 or 8 inch round but for what I'm gonna use this for; dense trash this should be about right. From what I...

Thanks again Sun Ray probe making Ralph

Last night I hunted a park that has been pounded for years. I hunted there because I was too lazy to drive to a better spot. My first signal was a 1908 o Barber dime which surprised me, silver generally is not exactly popping out of the ground in this park normally. Next signal is sloppy as...

Anyone have a line on who has the smaller coil yet??

For the people who produce this site..a question

You guys/gals do a great job and the interface is so simple. I have a distributorship through my business and the people who handle these distributors around the country are quite interested in putting a like form on their website, in this same format, where their distributors could meet, share...

My f-75 isn't really chattery, I can't seem to get a clean signal with it

When Air testing I can get clean, longer signals that repeat, in the ground however, it's totally different. Even shallow targets, less than 4 inches, I get squashed, weak, non repeating signals and never get more than three confidence bars unless it's iron at 2 inches deep or less. I"ve had...

Are any old pieces of shotgun brass valuable or collectible????

I have a bazillion pieces and a million different caliber shells, just wondering as I have to dig them or I miss v and shield nickels.

    Settings for a plowed field

Trying to make her more stable, sensitivity less than 60, pf mode, discrim 20? 2 tones? lots of nails here and some electrical interference. I also don't want to loose nickels as they are all shield and v nickels. Just got the uniprobe so I can go without my SE and it's x-1. When I ground...

Having a hard time getting my F75 stable

I'm using it in a plowed field that has telephone poles running down one side, which is probably giving electrical interference, doesn't seem to bother my SE though. I can't get the F75 to quiet down until I turn down the sensitivity down to about 38-40, and my tones are extremely short...

    Experienced f75's, some advice please

The manual says a faster coil sweep the better, are you guys still getting good depth if you swing slower, especially in thick trash? On a site with low mineralization, what kind of sensitivity can you push?? Someone told me he was running real hot at 85-90. I wish I could set a little iron...

Thinking of getting the F 75 as a backup for my SE

Any experienced Explorer users like the F75. I'm real curious about the plowed field mode, has anyone tried that yet? My SE keeps acting up and I'm going to have to send it in to Vegas, thought the F75 would be my best choice for a fill in and sometimes my very first choice in specific...

Absolute gratitude to Ralph at Sun Ray (long)

Last week I had done some research and found an old hunt site, I went and got permission and then my machine started acting weird almost like it wasn't ground balancing itself correctly. My SE was acting stupid to the point I had called Sandy and had it in a box all ready to go to Vegas for Mine...

So manual bite me....You never told us what happened with your SE you sent in????

Did they send it back with a quicker display? Or did they say that's just the way it works??

I finally got a chance to compare my 4 1/2 x 7 Excel and my Sun ray 5

In a pile of dirt half the size of a house that was the grounds of a 1846 fort and first home of the city, first Platte blah, blah, blah. I started with the 4 1/2 x 7 and there was too much trash for it. It falsed allot and had a really hard time with the iron nails. I used it for two hours...

Has anyone else had a slow display issue on their SE like Tinfoil posted below???

Mine seems a little slow and just wondering if anyone sent theirs in and what the result was. I don't want to send it in and then find out There was nothing wrong with it after all and I went without it for nothing. :rage:

Has anyone noticed falsing in frozen ground?

First trip out of the year with my SE. Went to a spot that was flooded with 8 inches of water, another spot that was completely frozen, yet another with a dug up 1850 foundation, now a pile of extremely wet clay about eight feet tall and a hundred yards long, my son literally lost his shoe in...

A little note on falsing issue of Sun Ray probe...

Since I got my X-1 probe, every now and then I would get falsing from it where it would loose sensitivity or start giving weak false signals in the air, that kind of thing. When I went to the beach, I realized what was causing it, where the wire goes in the top of it, with the plastic nut on...
