    Got a question?

Hi, I’m planning on purchasing another detector but not sure on either the XP- Deus 11 or the Minelab Manticore. Heard very good things about both detectors and was wondering if anyone on this site has used both machines and what your thoughts might be on either one. I’ve been detecting for...

Six Hour Beach Hunt on the Texas Gulf Coast!

Hi, everyone is saying to use a multi frequency detector on the beach because of the salt mineralization. I have used the AT- PRO for years and never had any problems in the wet or dry, always performed great. My new AT- MAX, same thing, no problems in the and just great depth in the all metal...

Running out of places to Hunt, Will have to plan a road trip somewhere .

I use to live on the northeast coast, Maine, New Hampshire, Mass, etc…Now living in Texas for the last 50 years, will start small along the Gulf coast from Texas to Florida and than head North from Florida up the coast. Trial and error to see how it goes first. 🙂

Wish I had one of those, mine would last about 30 min. Sometimes it is difficult to find someone who has the same passion and interests that you might have. 😁

Running out of places to Hunt, Will have to plan a road trip somewhere .

Running out of local places to hunt, thinking of possibly doing a coastline road trip, would be my first time. Not a young man like I use to be, just young at heart. The wife thinks I’m crazy to partake on this kind of venture by myself. I figure that if I use some common sense and take some...

    Deep Targets at the beach.

When at the beach, don’t trust your VDI”s on deep targets regardless what metal detector you have. The #s will jump around until you dig your target. You could be missing something nice. Your detector struggles to identify those real deep targets. Just a FYI.

Got a Question for all those old timers out there like me???

Hi PDH, I’m inclined to to to agree with U after giving it some real thought. Went out recently to the beach and everything was sanded over and finally found two locations made the difference. It was very windy and as a result it created a lot of wind sand erosion which exposed a lot of coins to...

Went out on s very cold day and only lasted about 30 min.

Hi, the ground is not frozen, the temperature was about 29 degrees, could not feel my finger tips to use my pinpointer or controls on my legend even with some gloves, had to go to get warmed up. 😬🤨

Short cold hunt. After doing some test beds in my back yard, found out that deep targets will not give you true VDI #s. If on the beach using the new 1.17 update, dig all your signals in the wet. I think that all detectors will do that.

    I Have A Question

Hi everyone, Got a good tip for everyone who does hunt certain paths with heavy traffic. If you come across any of these paths that are maintained by lawn maintenance companies in the summer and fall seasons, these are prime areas. When they use the high speed blowers to clean up after...

Just found out that DectorMoe on Y-tube channel passed away.

I don’t know, he did not seem to be too old, maybe in his 50’s. Not sure what happened, not made public. I’m sure somebody will find out.
