    Actually, I have just enough grip to hold the handle but not so much that my hand gets fatigued. I think my hand tends to walk/inch forward vs slipping.     Not sure what detector you use, but for the Deus 1 and 2, I use a 3x5 PVC shrink wrap bag. Trim around the necessary areas and it's ready to go. The cover lasts many hunts before I feel the need to replace it. Pictured is the D2.
