Rearranging my desk top and came upon this digital chart. Thought I might share this with you.

I always liked going here over the past year or so. http://usetheminelabexplorerlikeapro.blogspot.com/2005/08/chapter-8-digital-id-chart-for-minelab.html

Nice old coppers. A thing of the past ?

It wasn't long ago in this old mans life that we were naive of acid rain and chemicals in our lakes and streams. I became more aware of these problems when I used to fish alot. We were constantly warned not to eat too many fish because the Mercury that was in the fish from the acid rain and...

We have a new question topose to the group.

Anyone want to help with this question? Bob I like your post, I think it was a great idea......but I am still confused as to where you got turning your gain down to 4 or 5 would cause you to miss lots of signals, while in deep, loking for fainter, sounding deep coins???? See, I don't really...

Started out for one site and wound up at another

Got back to a corn field that I posted about some 2 or 3 years ago. The land owner posted all his land to everyone with no explanation. Of course it was his land so he can do as he sees fit. Today I stopped by and asked one of the sons if his father was there. The boy who is about 30 told me...

I have 2 questions. More like a poll.

First, how many of you run with deep and fast off ? Second, how many of you run auto Sens. ? I am very interested in knowing. One question has nothing to do with the other.

Todays finds from a friends shared site.

Went to a 1700s town common all overgrown with trees and lots of trash. The ML 7.5 is still on my machine and am liking it. Good depth and all. Target ID is a little wacky but thats a good thing. I find myself digging more signals than I would normally dig with the stock coil. A lot like buying...

Cellar hole hunt today. No special finds but a great day.

A few buttons and some other odds and ends but overall pretty slim pickins. Did enjoy a great fall day in New England. For those that are interested I was using the FBS 1050 coil on my SE. Not only does it quiet the machine down but it set my mind at ease about something I was concerned with...

Took the Explorer out today but first I put the Slimline coil back on

I had a terrible day. Only found one Large copper. An 1843 in pretty good condition. Its having a bath right now. The coin was the good part. The coil was the bad part. I had all I could do to hear the coin signals. The slimline is so erratic it's like day and night, these two coils. Got home...

I had my SE with the FBS 1050 coil out on a town green today.

I had power lines over head in two different directions and all kinds of interference around me. I ran the SE as you would the Explorer II. Noise cancel on the ground like the XS. You know the routine, maxed my sen. to about 28 and Gain at 7. I scrubbed the ground like the old days and had a...

FBS 1050 replacement coil for the Explorer

I just got mine from Minelab and they had 2 left. They told me they were not making any more and they would go obsolete with the XS II. If you want one to calm your SE down you should try to locate one before they are ALL gone.

    Only 389,000 minted

Got this one on the way home this afternoon. Sandy soil and no corrosion. Will clean up very nicely. I hope. [attachment 67543 Spof-2.JPG]

Went back and did the lawn today. James, you're not allowed to view my scanty silver finds. Not after seeing yours.

The ground is powder dry as deep as you normally dig. The signals are bad. When I say bad I mean there not clear and I'm not getting the depth I should be getting. Most of my finds right now are 3 to 5 Inches deep and thats about it. Couldn't seem to get past the early 1900s. I think after a...

    Got out for the afternoon.

Went to look at a job yesterday and found this secluded little field right behind the house I stopped at. My new client gave me the name and # of the guy who owned it. I gave a call and with his reference and my outstanding charisma. I spent the afternoon digging dirty things. [attachment...

Oh well, after Dans great review on the SE

I could not help myself and went out and got another SE. What a pain. Now I'll have to start posting again. The hunt. [attachment 66063 CentampHalf.JPG] All for a cent and a half. [attachment 66064 ful.JPG] Yup, and a half. [attachment 66065 ha.JPG]

I have a question for you Digger.

With my first XT70 I used the 10" round 7.5 kHz coil exclusively. I am waiting for the same to be replenished as I've ordered one. My question, You say you have used the 3 kHz coil and like it. Can you give me a reason why I would be happier with the 3 kHz over the 10" DD in 7.5 ? I am open to...
