    Thanks. Those swage base bullets are big but the georgia teat base are bigger. Those are the first ones I've ever dug.

    I was told it's part of a button belt from the 1880s. I found it in with all of the bullets. A percussion cap was in the same hole. I don't know what it is lol.

    A vlf has as just about as much air test depth as a gpx but the gpx has at least 8" in ground advantage. They can make any vlf seem like a toy. The only time I use my vlf detectors is when I can't use a pulse machine.

    This spot is good. The farmer planted it after one hunt. I have to wait til next year to dig it again. Not this winter next winter.

    I got out today to my new permission. I had the best day I've ever had for Confederate relics. I found some different bullets today. Big three ringers. I think they're Georgia bullets.

    Once you get the hang of it bullets are easy. The tough thing for me is eagle buttons, j hooks & .22 cal bullets all read the same my button count has gone down drastically but my bullet count has gone through the roof. I dig the low conductor targets when I'm finding lead. It discriminate...
