    Question for T2 owners

I have the black T2 ltd. I use the 12"/15" sef coil on it. It is my old coin copper machine. In mild ground it'll find deep 1/2 cents & coppers. I have no experience with it in the all metal mode though. It doesn't have the DST. It does struggle in hot ground like most VLF machines do. My G2...

Probably one of the last hunts this spring.

Thanks buddy. I bet your weeds & crops are ahead of us by a month. We had a cold January & February so our detecting season was shorter this year. I worked a lot this winter also knocking my dig time down. I hope you can get out & dig some fantastic relics buddy. HH

Probably one of the last hunts this spring.

Everything is growing or is being prepared for planting so I got after it Monday. I dug a good amount of quality civil war relics. I dug a eagle button that blew up emediatly after digging it. I did glue it back together & it's preserved now. The ground was very rocky & on the dry side. That...

    My finds from Sunday

I tried a new spot out Sunday. No civil war relics yet but I found some old stuff. I went to a old spot & found some good relics. The Eagle button, small ball buttons & bullets are from a 2nd corps Army of the Potomac camp just before the battle of Gettysburg.

    First complete spencer bullet

I've found six of those types there so far. You can see the marks in them. It might have had a piece of paper glued to it. I looked at my Gettysburg bullet book & they're in it. They're Watervliet arsenal 44 cal.

    First complete spencer bullet

It's called a .56/56 spencer rifle cartridge. It says the bullets are .56 cal but the bore is .52 cal. It is a rim fire self contained rife cartridge. One of the first to see use in the civil war. The bullets I've found in this spot are for the spencer rifle. The hadn't issued any carbines in...
