    What Could This Be?

The Garrett gold Stinger found me a ton of rings in parks. The original ACE 250 was real hot and got good depth. The Freedom ACE was a good turn on and go. The CX Model was my first unit with a true all metal mode. Favorite detector of all was the AT Pro. Great audio. The CTX pulse got rings...

    What Could This Be?

I have been using Garrett metal detectors now for about 35 years. They have always been a good match for my style of detecting. I am really looking forward to learning this new addition to the Garrett family. Hopefully, we will soon have an exclusive Garrett Vortex sub-forum.

    1/8 Connector for Vortex

I would contact Garrett about using a different set of headsets. Sometimes the ohm impedance is different and might effect the quality of sound. Phone: 1-972-494-6151 1-800-234-6151 USA and Canada

Got My First Ring For 2025 Today

Thanks......I bet if we met in a coffee shop that we could talk hours about our experiences with Garrett machines. When I first started, Charley and I used to exchange mail (real mail, not e-mail) occasionally. And that Treasure Talk.....I will never part with mine. It's a real collectors item...

The New Garrett VORTEX VX9 Just Got A Whole Lot Better!

I don't have a Vortex currently, however the best answer is to see what designated number represents it in your soil. That is a metal detector user's most accurate answer and responsibility. The numbers will vary based of depth, mineralization, pull tab type etc. VDI numbers are not 100% the...

The New Garrett VORTEX VX9 Just Got A Whole Lot Better!

Take a lot of these "depth" videos with a grain of salt. We all hope our machines get decent depth, and pretty well all the makes and models will do that today. Speaking with Garrett, I was told that the latest software update increased the depth on high conductors like silver and copper on the...

Just A Reminder If You Are Participating On The Garrett Forum

Just a reminder that this is a Garrett forum, available for all for getting/giving Garrett support, posting finds and being used in a respectable manner. Deviating too far from this will result in posts being removed. Thanks for your understanding.

The New Garrett VORTEX VX9 Just Got A Whole Lot Better!

Depth is relative to many many factors. Anyone who has detected for many many years knows this. Depth should not be the #1 reason for choosing a metal detector. If you want more depth, you have the option of purchasing a larger coil.

The New Garrett VORTEX VX9 Just Got A Whole Lot Better!

It has improved depth in the higher conductors. Depth is relative to so many factors. The last thing I want to see is a "mines better then yours" scenario. Folks who have been metal detecting for a very long time have a good understanding about depth.

The VORTEX Is Getting Ripe.....I See A New Forum Off In The Distant Horizon

I am interested on how you like it. I ordered one, and like you have many Garrett detectors. I have done very well with mine.

Out In The Snow With The AT Pro (Hey, it rhythms)

Out prospecting for coins in the river valley today. All the rivers and creeks are frozen solid. I had a HotHands Hand Warmer in each mitten, long johns and 2 jackets over long sleeved undershirt. And, I am now $3.00 closer to my annual gold coin or nugget for purchase for 2025.😁
