Tested an SEF 10x12 on my GB PRO.......

Not impressed.....definately not worth the chance IMHO. Was atleast an inch less in air testing on coin size targets and on small buttons a loss of 2". I wanted to see for myself how it would compare to the 11" greek coil...I had no expectations just pure curiosity. Maybe one is a little...

5 copper afternoon and a silver....

Been a bit slow hunting lately...been hitting fields mostly with my DMCIIB. But today I went back to what I think was a colonial tavern celar hole. Got alot of good stuff here over the years but been pretty dead last time out. Decided to take my C version Bug there and give it a whirl. Picked a...

I have never found an area that I could not hunt due to EMI...until....

Last Sunday. Man what a spot this was. The SE is so quiet and not prone to EMI noise unlike the T2 or F75 have been. But last Sunday I hot a field that I could not go over 30 sensitivity. It would just chatter to no end. most definately EMI...most likely a transmitter close by of some kind...

Tested a couple F75 concentric coils tonight on the SE....

First I tested the small eliptical coil for the F75/F70. That was a no go.....would not detect a dime at 3 inches at full sensitivity. Coils works fine on the F75...well last time i had one. Next I tried the 10" concentric coil. That actually worked just fine. Coil was stable, I could ground...

Question for those that have used the nwer F75 and T2's

Has anyone used both newer versions and if so...how is the T2 for noise as compared to the F75. I have owned both but the last T2 I had was one of the very first ever made....I bought them when they first came out. Mine was so noisy at any level it was painful. The F75 was not much better and to...

I have discovered the epitamy of stupid....it is...the US Postal Service

As a disabled vet I get preference for positions within the goverment....haven't ever used that until now. Decided that I have had it with my career and I would finally apply at the Post Office as we have quite a few rural carrier positions open in Maine. I could not explain the stupidity of...

No one around again to see me do the BIG SILVER Chicken Dance

I have been out testing the new Gold Bug SE today and was going back over a celar hole I gave up as pounded. DUg this 1802 Spanish Milled Bust 8 Reale out. Here I am a hootin and a hollerin...and no one around to share it with. Never dug a reale larger than a 1 reale in 25 years...plenty of...

OMG!!!!!............can the GBSE find deep LARGE Colonial Silver.....( caution...BIG silver freshly dug) :detecting:

I went back to a different celaer hole today. One nearby the rest and one we long gave up as hammered. I was actually going somewhere else but a hunter was there scoping his tree blind spot...so I remembered this one and I had not dug anything there the last couple trips. So i figured great...

GBSE 11" DD coil hot spot and sweep speed....

I was talking with Mr. Bill a little while ago and we both brought up these topics and both had come to the same conclusions. In testing target responses on the 11"DD coil especially there is definately a hot spot on the coil. The hot spot is not in the center but rather halfway between the...

For those about to buy an SE....or looking into one..what to expect and not to expect..
