Geocaching Gamepiece...I think they quit looking for it!

I found this Geocach Gamepiece this evening after dinner at a local neighborhood park. Rain and overcast skies most of the day made it a somewhat comfortable time to be out. $2.56 in change and some gold colored...I don't know what:shrug: were the other finds. I had no idea what the black...

Getting Skunked hunting in Florida is about to really STINK!!

As if the lack of gold finds haven't hit us Florida West Coast hunters hard enough this year, now we have Red Tide and beach renourishment to deal with:rage: "Scientists say a huge bloom of red tide is coming to Florida's west coast and this could be the biggest bloom the state has seen in...

    I'll flip you for it.....

Rainey day today, so along with other things to do I bagged up my dry sand beach clad and headed to my credit union where the coin counter is free to members,... three month total = $154.62:beers: Beach clad for me is most always clean and shinny, so the occasional rejects, which are few, are...

    The stock Excal Koss Headphones............

Were a pain in the butt for me when it came to holding their adjusted fit on my head.. I know they are not great for hearing either, but this is just to address the short and stiff cable that seemed to always pull the HPs out of their adjusted fit!! I drilled a one eighth hole through the Koss...

    705 problem

I've been having problems with the 705 for the past month. It will not go into tracking mode for one thing, and just recently it will not go to AM mode unless I hit the pinpoint/detect button. When I turn it on it powers up in pattern 1 and works fine, but when I hit AM it goes to the...

5:30AM, light SW wind off the gulf and it's 78 degrees!! Water is pouring out of my pours minutes after I start swinging and beach sand is sticking to every inch of exposed skin and wet clothing in no time.............what a mess! Hot and humid are an understatement!!!! Every morning and...

I'll take Ag over Ti or Wc...and hope for Pt or Ag Next time.

First time out in the water in a week...other priorities and a West wind made the daily decision for me. Big water and a late start this morning I hunted till the water started getting crowded and left around noon. Still managed to find a silver band that was a weak high tone on the Xcal...

Gave the 6" HF DD a try

Been twenty five days since my last XTerra beach hunt post. Something is always found, but nothing significant in the last 12 beach hunts with the XT705. An Ipod, 925 earing and $56.36 clad to be had in total!! The rings are junkers, but the dolphin/abalone is nice looking. The group picture of...

    Reality Check...Junk Rings X 2 this morning

After a three week run of scooping up one plat band, three 14k bands, one silver, one Stainless and a copper ring.......This mornings 5 hour hunt was a bust with two rings, a Titanium and Stainless. I thought,Titanium or Stainless....nope It's 950!!

I was able to get in the water yesterday by 4pm and hunt till after 8:30pm.Tide was still going out and the water was calm and gin clear when I started. Dug a lot of tabs, sinkers, few coins and a couple earrings for the first hour and a half, eyeballed the sunglasses on the bottom....the gold...

Gold chain dangling from the scoop..FAKE!! But the gold ring that came up with the bottle cap..

was14k... Long time in the water today.:detecting: Took the XT705 and the Xcal with me this morning because I was unsure about the water conditions. A constant W > WNW wind and rough surf since late Tuesday (effects from Arthur) has kept me and others out of the water. Water looked good in the...

Starting July with a Bang..14KP Band & NiTrO Bling

Started this morning at 7:30AM .An incoming tide and NE wind had me hike a mile or so up the beach rather than fight the incoming chop and current, much easier to go with the flow!!!. By 10:30 I had dug several pennies, Carbonator car and what must have been a sinker pocket spill!!!.... Having...

As the lightining storm rolls in and I am getting out....Gold in the scoop!!

Out on the low tide at 5:30, looking for a lost wedding band out by one of the swim bouy. Up to my chin, weight belt on and a storm moving in, I dug four targets, a sinker, can bottom, and two tabs.....that was it for an hour and a half. Wind picking up and lightning in the distant, I made my...

Think I'll stick to beach hunting for now...:surrender:

On the beach, I'm on a silver streak..4 rings & Atocha silver made pendent.

Can't find the good stuff in the water lately,(west wind making it too rough anyways!) so beach hunts with the Xterra 705/ HF DD elliptical coil has been the ticket.Thursdays beach hunt found 3 rings. All found in the same hole, but one at a time. The music note and theater faces ring are...

HF DD Elliptical coil back on....925 ring trifecta this morning:thumbup:

I am so pleased with ML on replacing my HF DD elliptical coil so quick. Mailed the broken coil back on 6/9 and got the new one yesterday 6/18......last time it took 3 weeks. I hit a couple of beaches that I had neglected these past several days that the elliptical is best suited for. Clad was to...

    Hmmmm, I see a repeating pattern:confused:

I'm stuck in a " time loop," of repeating junk ring finds!!! Of the seven rings found on the last five hunts at five different beaches,.Stainless, tungsten, stainless, titanium, stainless, tungsten,.. and today, stainless!! What are the odds that the next one is titanium? I got another...

2nd HF DD Elliptical coil to be replaced by ML:clap:

ML will replace my elliptical coil under warranty. This will be the second time it has been replaced due to the mounting bracket/ears breaking. I really like this coil on the beach, but I think this is were it gets the most ( not intentional ) abuse. The coil gets the occasional bump on the side...
