OK, how does performance (depth and separation) of the AT Pro compare to the original

ML Explorer. The reason I ask is that I had 3 of them but they were way too heavy.......I do remember them being silver vacuum cleaners...

Dang, getting a bad case of buyer's remorse and cabin fever...

That combination is deadly. Maybe I should have purchased a different detector.....maybe not... lol

    First AT PRO impressions.

Heavy. I'll qualify that by saying the only detectors I've used in the lat 8 years have been Tesoros, Deus, X5, Euro Pro. Built like a tank. Rubber washers style between coil ears are silly. Took me 15 minutes to figure out that they have reference holes in them. Pleasant sound. The 11" DD...

OK, so I pulled the trigger on an AT PRO

Also purchased the 9" concentric in addition to the huge standard coil. I'm ready for it to literally just suck the coins and relics out of the ground. lol I'm mostly impressed by its iron handeling ability... Tips on this unit are appreciated as well as tips on how to keep warm. lol

    AT Pro air test

Has anyone completed any air tests with this detector? If so, can you point me to them?

Why are detectors sold with ever larger standard coils?

It used to be that a 7" or 8" was standard. Now many come with 11" coils. Is it because they want to brag on depth or somethng? I like an 8" coil for general use. It does much better than an 11" in trashy areas.

    Thinking about an AT Pro

Looking to get a medium priced detector next month. Right now it's between a Teknetics Omega 8000 and an AT Pro. Any suggestions?

Is the Deus available with the rod, coil, and control panel only?

In other words, everything except the headphones... I can only afford the pieces, one by one. ;)

Have you checked your ETP ground balance?

It appears that many have been shipped with a terrbly positive ground balance. Mine starts making noise about 6" from the ground. The ground around here is very mild. 6" is way too positive.

What's your best find with your ETP?

    It's a gret detector.

Do you folks ever hunt random fields?

What I mean is, you see a field which has just been cleared. No streams close by. Some CW activity in the town.

Are newer Omegas better at resisting EMI?

The one I had 2 years ago loved EMI.

Ok, let's ty this again. EuroTek Pro. Like New

    EuroTek Pro....first impressions...

Detector looks nice. Control box sits high and buttons easy to reach with the thumbs. Information on screen was very easy to see. My area has lots of electrical interference but was able to do some air tests with the sens on '10' and '0' discrimination. No headphones, volume at '20'. Quarter on...

Couldn't wait so I splurged on a Eurotek Pro 8"

After owning almost every top of the line detector, I just had to buy another one. Miss the hobby too much but can't afford the great units. Coin and relic hunting half and half. In a few months will have enough for a T2 or something similar...
