    Ultra high relief find

Pop out coins are cool, I found one last year. I still think they are not an original coin, instead it probably pressed in a mold. I will test mine to see if it's really silver. Cool find though. My has a pin on the back.

V3i vs DFX ( for those who have used both)

V3i digs deeper hands down. I always find deeper older coins when I go along with my DFX friend. And yes I have a DFX and used it lots. Found tons with it, but I love the V3i. .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvFbchLWzCc Here's a short video clip that began with me putting away an 1889 Indian head penny, but I heard another iffy signal right next to it. Turned out to be a small broken 10K gold ring, in 3 pieces. Not sure which signal brought me to this location first...

More silver from the "Hunted out Park"

First Civil War Infantry Cuff Button

This may not be a big deal for those of you out east, but a Civil War Infantry Cuff Button, from North Idaho is hard to come by. Plus it still had some guilting on it. Hard to read the back, but I think it says Schuiler H & C N York. Find lots of buttons from the 1800's but not with a letter on...

    Gold ring surprise!

On Jan 29th I posted "Another first". Where I found 5 rings in one day. I knew two rings were gold because they were clearly marked, which was a personal first. The strange wire ring I found looked gold but i had no way of telling. I had heard about wire gold used in jewelry making and had a...

4 indians in one morning! Personal first

Tripplehooked; I was listening for deep signals and was finding them 4-8'' in the "hunted out park". The key was that day, just mowed, just watered, and a great machine. I figure if the vdi numbers are bouncing around then it is deep and "Iffy". Those are the ones I dig. My oldest finds came...

    10x12 sef (white) received. WOW!

I dig according to the background info first and then vdi number. I have found so many old coins right on top, fooling me. Giving memorial penny signals, and turning out to be wheats at 1". If it's an old property I dig it all! One time I dug an iffy 5" iron/silver signal, 89-93 vdi and out pops...
