    Alley Scrape turns up Jamaican

You never know till you dig it, right? Well yesterday, I'm studying in my easy chair and along comes the city with a big scraper in my alley. They take the alley down about 6". Which is about a hundred years around here. My detector starts to glow blue as I think, hey I better get out there and...

Lady liberty set free after 107 years

I love to find V nickels. Never saw one or even heard about them till I started digging. Almost missed this one. I found several pieces of iron in this hole and decided to close it up and it fell out on the ground. HMF! Always check your hole! Actually I did but I just thought it was more rusty...

First class ring! Whoo Hoo! Gold!

Finally, I found a class ring! It is gold, but there's good news and bad news. Good news is it's gold and the guy put his name inside it. So I'll try to find him to return it. The bad news is, that it was hit by a mower. So the stone is gone and it's had a little ding. Probably repairable. We'll...

    Brewermania

What I love about Treasyre Hunting is, you never know what you'll dig up. I hit the local city park that is "hunted out". I took the V3i out this time, knowing a different detector will give different results in the same place. Deeper coverage, and different types of discrimination, brings in...

More gold! Plus I now control Middle Earth!

This is a golden spring. Found a black hills gold ring last Monday and now again another Gold ring. 10K with an opal. Seems to have the black hills gold leaf on both sides of the opal. Pretty cool, my wife is getting pretty spoiled lately. I learned the green leaf in Black hills gold is 12K and...

    Hortsman cuff button

This is a Hortsman cuff button. These are fairly common in the lake around my neck of the woods. They rarely have any gilding left. This one has no back. Happy hunting.

Fisher1280x aquanaut produces another silver 2nd use

Had a break in the weather so I hit the lake again today and it's only the second tie out with the new Fisher 1280x Aquanaut. Still getting used to the no pinpointing, no depth, and no tone ID. But I am digging more iffy targets this way and scoring on old silver and tokens. TUIT Token=meaning...

    Silver first time out

I was thrilled to find this silver walker in my scoop, on the first time out with my Fisher 1280x Aquanaut. The wheat back is 1945s, the nickel is 1939, the Indian head penny is 1886 and hammered into an octagon, and the walking liberty half is 1941. Happy aqua hunting!

    Silver maiden voyage

My first time out with my new Fisher 1280x Aquanaut was today. It took a little getting used to, but I had some great results. I'm spoiled from using my V3i, and DFX, knowing how deep and what kind of target, not to mention pinpointing. But it did get me digging more targets and deeper. Had the...

    1920 S Buffalo

Thanks Blind Squirrel. It actually is a little rosy looking. It was hard to photograph on my phone and still see the date.

    1920 S Buffalo

I'm not sure why, but I feel like it's been good luck when I find a nickel. Plus, I've dug 9 V nickels and 9 buffalos in the last year and a half, because of it. Most of them are pretty rough in our neck of the woods.

jJust another day at the office Part 2

Went to the beach again to get what the other guys left behind. 1920s Buffalo, a couple of buckles. One says Rau F. Co. Rhode Island, and the other has two 1926 patents on it. One Coke Bottle couer d'Alene mfg, and a Reese Chemichle bottle, a toy gun, and a cross neckless. But my TR friend beat...

    1920 S Buffalo

Found this today with my V3i 1920s, I think all the V nickels and buffalos I find are being passed up by the other TR's. They won't dig the pull tabs. I get the gold too!

    After the storm

I really love how the storm can change the beach so much. I've hit this beach a dozen times this year and I find something new every time. Ended Up with a 1959, 1960 Roosevelt's, 1899 Indian, 4 Wheat-backs, a silver chain ring (pictured), and bracelet (pictured), a Washington tax token, a...
