    If you have to swing the LG24 more slowly than the LG15, then you really aren't covering more ground.

    Do you have two LG24 and two LG28 coils? If so, maybe a bad LG24 coil.

    It's a great detector. I really like the tones. Had a ML XTerra 70 before, and just could not enjoy the flutey tones of that one.

    9.5x6 inch LG24 coil

    I don't believe that is correct. As I understand it, the depth comes from the distance of the outer wiring wraps "out" from the inner wraps where the signal is sent down.

    I don't see any reason it would have any greater depth since they are both 6 inches wide. The extra bit of coverage would be nice, but the 6" is sooooo good, I doubt I'll buy the 6x9.
