thanks man your kind words mean alot . yes those nickels were only made from 1922 to 1936, and there one of my favorites to find. our nickels are 100% nickel and often come out with beautyful colours . i think its ferilizer that does it . the last one of that year i dug came out purple green and...

    5c kinda day

Hi folks. I was out for a hunt today after our clubs year end seeded hunt and found this 1919 fishscale and a 1922 nickel. The fishie was a tough signal because the spectra graph was showing all three freq in the green but it pinpointed 22.5 just like a bottle cap does. Glad I decided to dig it...

    2nd relic hunt with v3i

I would say no. Because u will have nothing to compare to. It really would depend on ur. Exp with the machine and how good ur ear is. Imo seeing all three freq is the way to go. What is it that ur trying to accomplish running single 7.5?

    2nd relic hunt with v3i

Low 2.5 for high conductor like copper and silver. 7.5 for mid range stuff and 22.5 for low conducive stuff like gold iron and lead. Having said that the pointy tip of a nail can. Pinpoint strongest on 2.5 and if there is enough mass iron can be strongest on 2.5 as mass plays a role in...

Does anyone hunt with the analyze screens?

i feel the spectragraph is one of the most usefull tools on the v . i would get that figured out first . combined with the pp strength its deadly .

Does anyone hunt with the analyze screens?

i dont use them either. as u noted they are too slow. same as rob i feel there is plenty of info to make a dig descision without them. when i use it ,its just for fun

    Sensitivity Zoom Screen on V3i

rob i say being lost because that is precisely how its written in the manual. to me it makes sense , if i had a reading of 35 percent in the house ,coil not on the ground ,i would suggest that the v is transmiting 3 freq 2.5 7.5 and 22.5 ,and its looking for those freq to be recieved . so it emi...

    Sensitivity Zoom Screen on V3i

if it was 45% it would mean that 45% percent of the transmitted signal is lost to the ground and coil null combined . at 45 u would want to lower rx gain and or change filters imo. I liketo keep mine at 15% or lower

    lurking

Here I found this thimble yesterday made by Henry Griffith and sons Birmingham England dated 1924. Uploading this photo I remember why I don't post much. You have to shrink the size to less than 420kb to post, it's a pain in the arse
