Went out to my coin garden with my V3i

Thanks buddy! I appreciate the sentiment. I still can't believe this. My Minelabs all struggled to hit those two coins. All my other detectors also could hardly hit them with a digable signal. Sure, the Minelabs hit them, but would I dig them in the wild not knowing what was down there? I...

Took out my new to me V3i

I did what you said to do during lunch today. I used the Ground Filter of 5.0Hz after lowering the Gain. I tested this on a 5" deep quarter. After doing this, I went to the coin garden and hit my 9+ inch deep penny and dime EASILY! And in fact, I was able to lift the stock coil above the ground...

Went out to my coin garden with my V3i

I went out to my coin garden with my V3i at lunch to test out the V3i some more. I was in High Pro. The detector not only hit really good on my 9+ inch deep Lincoln copper but also on my 9+ inch deep dime. Not only that, I was able to raise the coil three inches at least and it still gave a...

Anyone hear about the new F75+?

I sense a tremor in the force as if Fisher is going to release an F75+? Anyone hear about this?

Took out my new to me V3i

You might try one of these instead of a screwdriver. You can get them 12" long on Amazon. Search for Hemostat Locking Pliers

    White's service :super:

Yea, I recently purchased a used V3i and emailed Whites to see if I could purchase the DVD that is supposed to come with it. They emailed me back and said they are sending out the DVD no charge! Great service!

Took out my new to me V3i

Is the 10x12 SEF coil just as deep as the 13" Ultimate?

Took out my new to me V3i

Yea, I've been disappointed on some detectors I have. I was holding my breath hoping the V3i would hit on the coins. I was running at 2.5kHz with the stock 10" coil. I was really impressed. I didn't even have to put boost on.

I get my V3i today :beers:

I'm kind of lost on the chart. Under Threshold, what does "20, 40, 60, 80,85, 90," represent? I'm not sure what the numbers under the 20,40, 60 etc. represent either.

What is your best, shallowest find with the V3i?

Curious what some of you have found that were your shallowest yet best find with your V3i?

Just ordered the Ultimate 13 inch coil for the V3i

Hi John, I enlarged the words above to bring attention to them. I am getting a V3i tomorrow. I have a 13" Ultimate that will work on it. What do you mean by" setting to the 300 12"? How does one do that? Also, do I need to let the detector know every time I change a coil?

I am so thankful to God

It seems the older I get the more I realize just how short and precious life is. When we were young we thought we were invincible. The death which is operating in our mortal bodies teaches us to appreciate life and our loved ones but especially finding a silver dime. Well, okay, just kidding on...

    Going from DFX to V3i

Thanks for the great information Johnny. Now I just have to find a really good V3i that is used because I can't easily shell out so much for a new one.

    In September I found this . . .

I was at a park and this old 90 year old black man came up to me and we chatted for about a half hour. Turns out he's a Christian brother. We shared some scriptures and he said he'd pray I'd find something nice. Meeting him was a real treasure. His name is Fitzgerald. He walks with a cane...

What are your Bestest-Deepest-settings for your DFX?

My DFX is having difficulty hitting a 9" silver dime and 9" deep copper in my coin garden. I was using the 9.5 concentric and the 8x6 SEF coil. What settings do you think would be optimal for hitting these coins?
