    On the Deus 1 iron falsing would occur sometimes but it sounded more obvious to me and the ID would be a high 90’s wraparound like you’d expect. I don’t get the Deus 2’s 86-87 with a repeatable high tone.

    Has anyone been able to set up their D2 so it doesn't false on iron? I've tried programs based on General, Deep HC, and Fast modified to 3 tones (which I prefer) and they all give a repeatable high tone and 86-88 VDI. I can hear the iron tone on either side of the target, but it's not efficient...

    Relic mode drains the battery much faster than other programs. Maybe that's the cause?

    Yes, it does help, as does listening for the iron grunts around the signal. But consistent high tones and numbers on iron seems like a fault of the machine. It's inefficient if nothing else. I'm hoping future upgrades will smooth this out.

    Thanks basstrackerman. I tend to agree with you there. I do a lot of testing/adjusting with my programs until I’m happy with them.

    It's the unmodified stock programs like General, Fast, and DeepHC, Sensitive, that show this behavior. Changing the disc corrects it. If your detector is passing this then I'm wondering if XP has a quality control issue.

    Dime on top of the nail, I did get a mid-tone and a 51 reading. Swinging with the dime parallel to the nail, I can’t hit it at all, in any program, even Fast 40.

    I just did this test on my D2 with .71. It showed this exact same behavior in stock programs General, Sensitive, Sensitive FT, Park, and Fast. If the dime is above the nail, it works correctly.
