    Coinstar finds today....

After a long dry spell of checking the Coinstars, I finally scored today finding a 1964 dime and a '44 wheat penny. Silver is silver in my book, even if it comes out of a machine! LOL

I need some help on this bayonet....

That bayonet is in killer condition!! Very interesting history behind it and the firearm it was used on. If only these two bayonets could talk, what a story they could tell. Thanks for posting photos of it! HH, Felix

Tired of digging can slaw and some other trash with HF2 coil. Looking for gold rings ?

The sapphires are worn on mine too. Actually the back was cracked on mine when I found it and it has since been repaired. TID was 8 on my 800, which I rarely dig and have no idea why I dug that day.. but glad I did!! I found it up in dry sand along where they place trash cans.

Donna, I found the match to your ring a couple years ago... Looks just like yours with same type of stones and very small ...size 4. Also 14k.

    Nice assortment of old finds!!!

So I bought a Second Detector....

It will not take long for that XTP to pay for itself at that price!!! No brainer in my opinion and the coils are interchangeable between both models, so you have a great backup! I bought one on sale a couple years ago and it has paid for itself a few times over already!

I need some help on this bayonet....

That is amazing…. Very similar origins as to how we both obtained them. Yes, I am very happy to have this piece of history in my humble collection!! Luckily the guy that gave it to me realized what it was before taking it to the dump along with other items that day!! Do you have a positive ID...

I need some help on this bayonet....

I really have no idea, but where it was at, there is an old house that dates back to 1860, and I am sure the property this came from was all part of that at one time. While I may never find out for sure, I feel like this piece came from somewhere on that property or old house, since dates back...

Need ID help on these finds....

I was thinking about trying that… The one I found yesterday came from a park that was an old golf course from 1938. I am pretty sure I found the other ones there too. I am wondering if being in the ground has ruined the phosphorous if that is what it is?

Need ID help on these finds....

The diameter is 7/16” and the length is 7/8”. Not lead inside and they are pretty light. Appears to be copper on the outside. It appears to be some type of white hard substance on the inside. Maybe some sort if tracer round?

Need ID help on these finds....

I found some of these a few years ago and found another one yesterday at the same location. I think I posted them before, but can't recall if anyone told me what they were. Basically they are hollow, but have some residue in them. I do not see any rifling marks on them at all. Thanks in advance...

I need some help on this bayonet....

Thanks…. I looked up this site and I believe what I have is a model 1835 bayonet. They show a clone to it in this site, but it was made some years later and there are a couple differences between the two.
