(Want to sell) Minelab Excalibur II Metal Detector, Joe Beechnut Parts, 2 Search Coils, Extras

I decided to take the detector completely apart. All the O-rings have been replaced. Everything inspected, and the detector is like new. I also added an Ultimate 13 search coil with a new connector installed. So, the package now includes 3 Search Coils making it now seem complete. I would never...

    Deus1 vs. Legend?

Yeah, I still love my Deus I even after getting the Deus II. I still have that HF elliptical coil for the Deus I, and just for that reason I'll probably never get rid of it. They both have their own place. I mainly use the Deus II if I'm near salt water, the 9" coil is great for the multiple...

    Deus1 vs. Legend?

That snake coil, sort of like the Blue Max Shooter on the White's, or Shrew coil, are fantastic in the high trash sites. Because of their small size and being elliptical, they do real well in separation and also do pretty good in the iron, you just have to sweep real slow and pick out your...

    Deus1 vs. Legend?

Yeah, if you would want to run everything through a single hipmount cable, it would take an eight wire cable, like the one mentioned above, and a male and female eight pin connector that you would have to order. That would give you both the meter, and the all metal / disc switch. Definitely not...

    Deus1 vs. Legend?

Keep in mind that that will require two more wires in your hipmount cable, if you're making one yourself, unless you want an extra wire running from the box to the shaft, which I think that most would not prefer, have to drill a hole in the box, run the wire out through a grommet, silicone seal...

    Deus1 vs. Legend?

Yes, there is one other mod that you can do to it, the Sovereign, just like Joe Beechnut's Toggle Switch on the handle of the Excalibur, to where you can switch it from all metal to discriminate, and back, by just flipping, or depressing a switch. I did that mod to the Excalibur, but I never...

    Deus1 vs. Legend?

I ordered a continuous movement robotics arm cable from Mouser Electronics to make the hip mount cable. It gives me an extra wire in the cable, that the one you can purchase on line doesn't offer, so that I just has one cable going from the box to the shaft, for the Ron's 180 meter, eliminating...

    Minelab Pro-Sonic wireless headphones

I found the same battery off Amazon. Just make sure you order the same battery number (602030), 1.11Wh, 3.7V, 300mAh. Cut and strip the red and black wires, discard old battery, using small shrink tubing, solder wires, heat shrink tubing. Place new battery in the same position as the old one...

    Minelab Pro-Sonic wireless headphones

No wonder, it takes such a small battery. So, since it was out of warranty. I just replaced it myself, and now it works again.

    Need Sov Part

For me the 8" and 10" stock coils work fine. I found that the 10"x12" SEF Butterfly coil was my favorite. The Ultimate 13 is fantastic. I just put an Ultimate 15 on it because I use it exclusively for beach hunting, and it's incredible. Not nearly as heavy as the big orange thing, but it...

    Dues II cable breaking.

I figured that they should be covered by the warranty. I've never broke one yet, so never had to deal with the issue. Never heard of the DooDad clip. I'll have to look into it. Interesting, thanks.

    Need Sov Part

I just got the Ultimate 13 coil for the Excalibur II, just put a new connector on it. I took the Excalibur II completely apart, changed the O-rings, inspected everything. About to relist it on here. Now that everything is perfect, it will be hard to let it go, but it will come with an 8"...

Actually, I don't need to go any deeper or I'll have to hire someone to help me dig. 😅

    Deus 2 11"X13" versus 11" coils

I just have the 9" and 11" coils. I've seen a lot of comments that the 11" balances better, and isn't as nose heavy, but I've also seen other comments that people prefer the coverage and depth of the 11x13", so it obviously offers more than just the 11" as a lot of people prefer it.

    Headphone cable ?

Yeah, I just replaced the coiled wire on my Grey Ghost Waterproof Headphones. Crazy, they weren't really that old, but the outer insulation just cracked and fell apart. Had the same thing happen on the OEM cable to the original Koss headphones on my Excalibur years ago. I really take care of my...

    Need Sov Part

You will probably have to look around. I sometimes see some on eBay, Craigslist, Offer up, Mercari, etc., or some of the other new sites where people sell everything, some state "For parts only", if your lucky enough to find one. You could take a picture and contact Minelab to see if they might...

    Anyone ever encounter this problem??

Yeah, that must have been there for a while to get frozen like that. Was it dark Grey or Black when you found it? I wish you would have posted a picture of it before cleaning. That's interesting.

    Deus 2 coil question

When I got the Deus II, I was disappointed that it didn't have the range that the Deus has between 3.7 to 81 kHz. I previously sold my original Deus when I purchased the Deus II. But I just bought a newer Deus. It's still under warranty, and the newer coils offer a little more than the older...
