    T2 delta pitch

Does anyone here ever use the delta pitch setting on the T2? Any advantages? Is there any reason why this setting would ever be useful? It seems like some kinda frantic cacophony, so much so, i have a hard time discerning what it's trying to tell me..... any advice?

    Help with value of dfx300

I have never owned a whites detector, been swinging Tesoro's and A T2 for a while, but I came across a deal locally for a dfx300 in real nice shape....is there anything I should look for specifically? What would be a reasonable price? The guy wants $500 but I think he would take $400. Can...

    Product survey poll

Is there a way we could start a product survey forum.? would it benefit anyone else if there were polls where members could vote on things, or rate things like, headphones, batteries, diggers, coils, pinpointers etc.? Just wondering if that info in one place would benefit everyone. J

new orleans w a Tesoro Lobo SuperTraq

i spent a couple of days hitting an early 1800's park in NOLA. I mostly ran the Tesoro Lobo SuperTraq and the 9x8 concentric, and the Teknetics T2 and 5" concentric.... found 32 coins total. The deepest was @ 8". i found coins consistently throughout the park, which made me think that it had not...

    Rare coils

I have heard people specifically looking for a Troy 7" coil and, I know that 4 Pin delta style clean sweeps are highly sought after... Are there any other classic coils that are no longer being produced. Anything worth snagging if something sweet comes your way?

    Prettiest coins

Heavy rains this weekend, so I'm shut in, cleaning detectors and old coins....I bought the red book for coins, thanks to all who suggested it, thumbing through it, I was struck by the beauty of the older designed coins...the Mercury dimes may very well be my favorite design of all.... without...

    T2 following up after Tesoros

I swept a few curb strips yesterday with a Tesoro Bandido II µMax running a clean sweep coil, and then partially with a Lobo Super Traq sporting a 9"x8" concentric coil... I am going back today to sweep the same grounds with my T2 and 5" coil... I ran slow yesterday and pulled 42 coins.... I...

a couple of silvers and a cub scout badge/ medallion

hit two city blocks of curb strips...nailed 42 coins... these two silvers, a couple of wheats, a couple of matchbox cars and this cool old boy scout badge that i"m thinking is from the 1950's or '60's. and some sort of Texas Broach/ lapel pin... I ran the Tesoro Lobo Super Traq with a 9'x8'...

    Vaq. Black ?

Iscsnning through the Tesoro website, I can see no discernible difference between the specs on the various Vaqs. Aside from color and coil selection. Would anyone care to enlighten me?... is it like the compadre, same machine, different coils, or have I missed something?

    Cell phone @ 6-7"

Oddest thing... found a cell phone at 6-7" down today... but I found it in a area where I was plucking '60's & '70's coins from the same depth... obviously the ground has been turned at depth within the past 10-15 years.... I would have never know had the old flip phone not been discovered...

    B2uMax/clean sweep

Spent a few hours testing the B2uMax/clean sweep combo. Seems to be a well built coil. Nailed a lot of quarters, but virtually nothing else.... it's was a strange day of digging. 17 quarters, 6 dimes, 10 pennies , and 5 nickels... covered a massive amount of well worked ground, and still...

    testbeding different coils all day

Of all the coil combos I ran today, the Lobo Super Traq with the 12"x10" Wide-scan was the most surprising... clean tones, deep, stable, ...the rig was a little heavy, but easy to swing and covered a lot of ground... the way it swings has a nice feel to it to me... I think I will run it like...
