    Coil compatibility got me confused...need advice!

    I'm told that the 10" Solid White DD Coil from my Omega 8000 will work on ( and not damage) the Tek G2 !! But the Omega runs at 7.8 KHZ not at 19KHZ.......can these coils be compatible? Can a detector that runs at 19KHZ use the coils off of a 7.8KHZ unit??? Usually that is not the case...I'm...

    Need help with perticular adjustment!

    A person wants to go and do some dry sand beach hunting with me next week. I plan to lend them my Omega 8000. Is there any way to set up the Omega as a " turn on and go detector'.... so that the detector will auto ground balance it's self in the disc mode? And the user won't have to adjust the...

    I used to own a Fisher CZ 5 years ago...............I liked the depth but it was not very good in trashy parks. Ran targets together.....and I didn't like the idea of hunting sports fields with a 5" coil. Now I have the Omega 8000...........really liking it. But I wonder , what is the depth...

    Cazador situation??

    I spoke to a fairly prominent and reliable multi-line dealer and asked about the Cazador project? His response shocked me.....he said Cazador is dead!!! There is no money for that project....Tesoro is in trouble and they can't even put out the Golden UMax or even get the codes for it. So sad...

    Here's something I've never seen mentioned..........

    A fellow TH'er contacted me after he read one of my recent postings. It was the ("Have to rethink the 8" coil" ) . He decided to go to the Teknetics 8" round coil on his Omega for exclusive use. He explained that as he was retired.... he usually hunts between 4 to 6 hours a day 5 or 6 days...

    Why is the 10" DD coil .......................

    What would be a good choice for hunting "dry sand" medium mineralized, salt water beaches here on the West coast?
