    Oh My Goshhhhhh....

    I though I had found 2 nickles but when I looked at the second nickle it was very thin and I could see no detai But I just was looking at it under bright sunlight and I am in shock....     Battery life...

    Does anybody know if there is an actual relationship between coil size and battery life ? Also is there a relationship between sensitivity or gain with coil size....like if I run at 50% a 5 inch coil will only get 2" of deph or such ????

    Readings today...

    Today I was using the 11" coil and being that the targets are getting more spread out I set it down to 56. Most nickles definitely come in at 58-61... I did find it interesting how I get some solid signals and it will jump from 90 to 58 to 81...these were mixed coin groups...with nickles,dimes...

    Oopses, my knob was missing...

    I go to the field to hunt thins morning and was surprised to find the knob for the power missing. I was able to turn it by hand so I was able to hunt. When I got home I found the knob on my bedroom floor. I am surprised that these knobs are not locked on.... Anybody seen some better ones that...

    Heat and ???

    Tomorrow the nurse will be here and I am hoping the forecast will come through for me. It has been in the 90's and the ground has been hard and dry. ?The have called for thunderstorms and to clear up by 9 am. If it ill rain some,the ground would be easier to dig.

    wide scan vs concentric question......

    First off my understanding is that the coils on the GB are wide scan or DD. Most pictures describing the search pattern for a concentric is a cone under a coil. such that at it's deepest you are pushing a very small spot along the ground. What I am wondering is how the DD really work in regards...

    Ok, got out early and found more stuff. No sliver coins yet but I did find a 1956 wheatie and a 1944s. An earring and a slver chain. $dollar coins=(1) quarters====(15) dimes======(22) nickle======(1) pennies=====(20) $7.20 Same park just under (3) more hours today. I'm now over $50 Dollars.

    NYC park hunt.....

    Today while I was hunting Astoria park, queens NY. I have the pleasure of having a parks dept supervisor stop by. He asked if I had my permit...we spoke for a few and then he was on his way...No issue what so ever. Nice , Having a friendly attitude and talking does help at times.
