Big Silver / Sterling Boy Scouts Ring / Skeleton Key & Others

Thanks Mark. As far as research, of course I use google maps, plat books, historic map works, historic aerial programs, Sanborn fire insurance maps, image searches etc. and do a lot of cross referencing to find public sites that I feel are still promising. Most of the time before hunting on a...

No, the 1911 V nickel was not with another coin. It was pulled at an old fairgrounds. I pulled a couple old crusty nickels out of there last year. The 1883 Indian and 1942 walker were pulled about 50 feet away from the nickel. The 1894 Indian was pulled at a different old school site.

thanks Rick! yes, that walker was surrounded by junk and iron. It gave me a 97 number on my D2 so I was hoping for a half and it was. I also have wireless Grey Ghost headphones with the D2 headphone control unit plugged into it which helps hear those deep faint signals. Dave

Finds are from a few weekend hunts since my last post. Most all of the finds were pulled at public sites in North Dakota and one Saturday hunt coming from Minnesota. The horseshoes came from an old field site close to my parent's farm. My XP Deus 2 was used just about all the time and my...

Barber & Franklin Halves / Old Political Token

thanks! Yes, a seal ring makes sense to me the more I think about it. The ring loop is not very big and it would be very heavy for a kid to wear it as a ring.

thanks Mark! Manticore is good machine. I just need to get more hours on it to get to the level I am at with the Deus 2. Boating to hit sites sounds fun. Also, Great videos you posted. Nice! Dave

Barber & Franklin Halves / Old Political Token

thanks Rick! Yes, I will have to get more hours on the Manticore before I open my mouth about it too much. I did have an Equinox years ago and it has a lot of similarities, but Manticore is better, in my opinion. I think it is a little deeper also. It is balanced way better also. Etrac had very...
