    Thanks Ted. I had to get down to Mid Iowa before ground was diggable. Most of the finds came from Southern Iowa. I was within 30 miles of the Missouri border. Ground was completely thawed in that area. Dave

    here are a couple closer pics of that 1870 shield nickel right after I pulled it. Pretty worn but I was happy to get it. At least a 10-inch-deep signal.

    Hey Mark, we have got at least a half a foot of snow and have been frozen solid for about a month. I just got a 9-inch coil for my 2nd deus 2. I may try dropping down a couple states over Christmas break if it is mild and see if I can run into some diggable ground and some more oldies. Dave
