Talked to Sandy and confessed to my pushing the envelope on the SE.

After realizing that the SE is not the XSII things are going much better. This is my 4th day in a row of hunting 6 Hr. stretches and still no problems. I hit one spot today that required me to lower my sen. to 24. Other than that, great day. I don't believe I will have a split screen problem at...

Day 3 with no problems. Hunted 50 ft. from a Transformer to see how it would react.

Set the sen. at 26 and hunted there for about an hour. Moved to the field behind where the house used to set and cranked it up to 28. Moved to a new site and didn't change anything. About 1/2 hour into the hunt I got a signal a little lower and to the right of a zinc and dug a Two center. Its...

I guess I've got to grow some nads and call Sandy and apoligize

This is the second full day of hunting with no problems. I just can't run Sen. as high as I could with my old XSII. Really settled down and enjoyed the day. No old coins today but lots of clad and I guess thats good cause it gave me a chance to see the machine work. I'm pleased so far as long...

You figure it out. Took the SE out one more time just to be sure.

Got to my hunting spot and fired it up. Set the gain back up to 5 from 3. Thats where I always have it set, did the noise cancel as always and and this time lowered the Sen. to 28. Hunted all day and had no problems that I am aware of. Dug a Hard times Token at about 8"or 9". Came in like a Half...

I asked Sandy if I could get a new Explorer II if they can't fix the SE

She said the Explorer II does not exist any longer.

Locked onto a solid 30 or copper penny and popped this little sweetie. [attachment 41239 1851HalfDime.JPG]

Not trying to boast just playing catchup. These items came

from the same field as the 31 coins. I gave them to Don SJ and he cleaned them up and sent a pic back. I'll see if I can find it later.

Called Sandy at Minelab today about my ferrous problem

We had quite a chat and covered a lot of possibilities. One thing that she mentioned and I tried today was in the manual it says to raise the coil in the air to noise balance. It even shows a pic to follow. She says find a quiet spot on the ground like we used to do and then push noise cancel...

[attachment 41027 baw.JPG]I have owned the XS, XSII and now the SE. I also own the X-Terra70 and the Shadow X5. As a loaner I have the Ace 250. I hunt old coins almost exclusively. One field I hunted this summer yielded 57 Large coppers most Dated in the 1700s. My oldest silver so far is a 2...
