    CHOOSING A PROPER BEACH COIL

    I have used the Eclipse 950 coil and the 10" stock coil on Pensacola Beach and both worked well in dry sand, in wet sand you would need to turn on salt compensate which is normal but again, they both worked really well.

    What headphones do you use?

    During the Summer Months I use the Auvio wireless earbuds, when the weather turns cooler I use Grey Ghost or my wireless headphones, however I prefer the Grey Ghost.

    Coil difference

    The older coils are not "V" rated or nulled for the V3 or the V3i. The "V" rating allows you to turn your RX gain up without overloading. The none rated "V" coils will work, however its doubtful you will be able to turn yout gain up to anything above about 6. I'm sure someone else will chime in...

    Salt water sand ... low tide hunting ...

    I have the 950 coil and have used it on salt water beach hunting and it worked fine. I mostly use my 10" DD it works just fine for me on Pensacola Beach. I turn on salt water compensate at the tide line and have no problem. Both work fine for me.

    How many use stock programs ... questions ...

    I mainly use stock programs and tweek them. Coil and Jewelry, High Trash programs are the ones I tweek and of course change out coil as required for the area as required. Tot Lots, Beach, Old Home places, School Grounds, public parks are my hunting grounds.

    V3i problems?

    I agree it sounds like a coil problem, how does it do on other programs? Just a thought switch over to the "High Trash" program and see what happens. if that makes it quite then you know to adjust your all metal and recovery delay and so on.

    Pro Gold Headphones

    Just wondering how good the Pro Gold headphones are. I have 2 pair of (without stating specific brand name) Grey colored headphones and 1 pair is less than a week old. My question is are the Pro Golds any better an if so why or what makes them better?

    F/S Whites 6x10 coil and cover

    I purchased a Whites 6x10 coil about a week ago from Richard of Backwoods Detectors, well I forgot to ask or if it was V-rated, It's not. So up for sale is a Whites 6x10 coil with coil cover NON-V-rated for sale $100.00 shipped. Coil and cover looks to be new, no scratches, etc.

    V3 turned into V3i

    You made a VERY GOOD choice by getting the upgrade. I think you will soon know that it was worth every penny of the money you spent. Depth, well that depends on your settings, ground conditions etc, but I will say after my upgrade I gained approx 1.5 to 2.0 inches. Enjoy and Happy Hunting!!!
