    One thing I can say about the stock 10" dd coil on the V-3 Is lots of EMI. It is a EMI magnet. I think if you read more posts on this forum you will find lots of issues with this. If you have the ability to try out a different coil say the 6x10 or the 4x6 you may find 1 to be a better choice...

    If I am understanding you correct I think you are talking about an "Electric Fence" . If so, try "Frequency Offset" and see if that helps you out.

    I picked up a 400 watt adapter at Wal-Mart for around 40.00. You could probably find one a little cheaper at Harbor Freight? I use mine just about everyday from laptop to charging cordless drill battery's.

    V3 at the beach.... mixed feelings and back pain

    jbow I know the feeling. My shoulder and lower back give me problems everyday and it takes the fun out of the hunt. I purchased the E-Z Swing harness and it helped me alot, it helps transfers the weight of the detector to the shoulders and waist. It may be worth checking into. Anyways Good Luck...

    I had someone ask me a question that I had no answer for. When you apply your coil cover can you apply a thin layer of "Dielectric Grease" prior to apply the cover? I have heard of using "Silicone" to seal everything but never heard of anyone using dielectric grease. Has anyone else had this...

    I used mine on the beach (Pensacola Beach in Florida) a couple of weeks ago and it seemed to do just fine in the stock coin and jewelry mode using the stock 10" coil. It ran very quiet. Since then I purchased the eclipse 950 coil to try out on the beach because of some of the other posts here...
