I have never used or owned a "Real Metal Detector" until I purchased the V3 the last week of October. The Field Guide pretty much says "its a turn on and go machine" and that is somewhat right. Coil Question

Thanks Rob that is the answer to the question I had. I tried it and it seems that the problem is not in the coil but with the operator. Larry you are correct as well, I guess I just walked right over them. Thanks to all for your help and advise.

I have the 10" stock coil that came with the V-3 is there any way I can test this coil an insure it is operating properly? Take it apart and put it in the washing machine. DO NOT put it in the dryer, hang up and let it air dry. Possible damage to your dryer could happen should you decide to do so. Thats what a machine is suppose to look like when used!!! KEEP WORKING IT!!!

    V3 or DFX decision

If you have a "Strong Hankering" for the V3 I would say hold off until your pocket book can afford it. Yes the DFX is a very good machine but if your like me, you would have wished you had waited and got the one you really wanted. I am NOT an expert on the V3 or any other machine, in fact I...

Target Probe and/or Pin Pointer Question

What is the advantage of using the Sunray DX-1 target probe over the Bullseye II pinpointer? I have been kicking the idea around about purchasing one or the other and I really just do not know.
