    Just bought a Cibola!

    My Compadre broke!

    Man, am I bummed. I just removed the screw under the control unit to take the box off of the pole so I could clean under there, and some sort of threaded insert came off and rattles around in the box now. Should I send it in? Or should I just open it up and see if I can reattach it? I just...

    Question about the Vaquero's pinpointer

    First, yes I know that most of the time pinpoint isn't even needed on this machine. But when you do use it, do you still have to keep the coil in motion? Or can you just press the button and then just "sit" the coil in different spots to get a fix on the target? Thanks

    Compadre on the way!

    I'm stoked! I sold my Silver umax to buy the F5. Now I miss having a Tesoro machine so I figured I'd try the gold magnet AKA Compadre. I'm going to freak out when it gets here! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

    Vaquero with a 5.75'' coil hotter than a compadre on gold?

    Hey guys, I'm looking at a Vaq and I was wondering.. Since the V is higher frequency than the Compadre, will it hit harder on gold with the 5.75'' coil than the Compadre will with its 5.75? Thanks!

    Can someoen clear this up for me? Are all recent Tesoros still analog?

    Can someone elaborate on this? My Silver Umax says it has a microprocessor. Wouldn't that imply that it is a digital machine? :confused:

    10Khz vs 12Khz. Does it really matter?

    I am considering getting a Compadre even though I already have a Silver Umax. Would that be a waste? Will 2Khz really make that much difference on the small stuff? Thanks guys!
