    Faster

Please keep in mind that recovery speed isn't everything. Technology has made it possible for recovery speeds that are faster than the human ear can distinguish. Many times faster. As this next generation of super processor detectors evolve, I think we will (or at least we should) see more focus...

    TRX answers

I'm very impressed with the trx. I also only use vibrate and prefer it to be weatherproof. Great pointer.

    V3i screw removal concern question?

There should be no issues with removing that screw, it's just holding the housing together. You may need a longer replacement tho depending in how thick the stand is. Either way, make sure the screw is snug when done. No one should operate a V3i with a loose screw......:lmfao:

2 silvers, 1 indian, 1 ioof dedication pin one yard

It's a smart thing to do and highly recommended. I give many of my finds to local historical societies or to the farmers whose fields I get the opportunity to hunt. I always ask that if the item is to be displayed that they state that it was donated by localmetal detectorist. Positive...

    Headphone volume control

I think you would be better off to crank the sensitivity and or run in mixed mode. Jmo. I know they have a limiter but aren't the hornets designed more for people hard of hearing to begin with?

    Finally got one!

I'm happy to get all the coils at once. I'll probably sell or trade one of the shooter coils for a 8x6 sef. I've heard they are nice and i don't need two small coils. I preferred the 5.3 over the 4x6 with the Vx3, but it will be nice to have both coils to test side by side!

    Finally got one!

Thanks guys. I'll definitely be stalking the mailman next week!

    Finally got one!

After owning two Vx3's over the past three years, I finally saved up the cash for a V3i. I found a package deal that was too hard to turn down, so i ended up with a 7 month old unit with four coils, D2, 10x12 sef, a 4x6 and a 5.3 shooter. I'm also ordering whp, a dx1, and a hardshell case to...

Vx3 usage while V3i is in for repairs

Man, your ground is horrible to that clad! Nickels never seem to look good but those dimes and quarters look as if they have been dyed.... My zincs are usually toasted, Indians a beautiful deep green patina, and silver, well...silver..lol, but my clad is usually just dirty or dark from age...

    Vaquero owners

What settings do you prefer and why? Discriminate, Super tuned discriminate, or All metal. More than likely (when field hunting) I will hunt in regular discriminate mode as I don't need super depth in plowed fields, but I'm curious as to what most folks use in different types of hunting. Thanks

    New Vaquero for me

This will be the second one for me, I'm thinking my first one was a dud as it didn't get much depth. I've also owned a Cibola and loved it. I'm looking forward to using it here in Michigan for field hunting this fall. Hopefully I'll get to post some good stuff!

    Good deal with Percy

Did a trade/cash deal with Percy for my Beach Hunter. The TRX arrived promptly, and in great shape. Thanks Percy and happy water hunting!

    Let's talk relic shovels

Hello all, I hope everyone is having a great season so far. I'm prepping for the fall hunt and am starting to look at relic tools. I had a Sampson 31" t handle but it ended up in a trade for a water detector setup. Great digging tool but a little too short for my 6' frame. I'm looking at the...

    West Michigan water hunters

As much as it kills me to leave a spot where there is a known missing ring, I had to tonight. A fella approached me on the beach about an hour before dark and told me the area he had lost his platinum wedding ring while playing football in the water with his boy. Being that I had my whole family...

    Back into water hunting

Well I did some trading with another forum member and it looks like I'll be a water hunter this summer! Traded my F75 for a Beach Hunter ID 300 with straight and original shaft, T Rex scoop, and accys. I'm curious to see how the Beach Hunter and T Rex does compared to my CZ20 and Stealth scoop!

4 indians in one morning! Personal first

Nice hunt! Looks like you have a nice spot there. I'm surprised to se the vdi that high on IH! What was the depth you were finding them at?

    Serious question VX3

Another thing that you do not hear much about the Spectra series is their ability in iron. I was using a Vx3/d2 combo at an 1860s farm house last fall. My hunting partner found an iron pit with his Etrac and quickly had to back out due to audio fatigue. I ventured in with the V and pulled out...
