    1942-D Silver Washington:cheers:

I hope ya had your "rattler" headphones on!! I didn't see the video but that garter snake looks mean!! :lmfao: There's a place I hunt in the spring while the weeds are down that is covered with garter snakes, it's kinda neat. It's those dang copperheads I don't like when I'm visiting family down...

    Whites XLT

Well, it's time to start looking at a V3i. Up for sale is my XLT E-series with the 950 coil and non-rechargeable battery pack. It's in great shape with the normal physical wear of a used machine. It works perfectly and is a joy to use. I'm asking $400 plus actual shipping. Or I'll gladly trade...

Big Dawg Coil...on my VISION - soon

Looks like an awesome coil for dry sand beach hunting. I wonder if you ran in the 22 kHz freq. if it would just skew the vdi numbers or actually affect the performance of the coil? I dig everything above iron at the beach anyways, so I wouldn't need vdi accuracy for that type of hunting.

38 degrees in MI. a great day for a hunt

Just East of Grand Rapids here. I'll be out tomorrow, supposed to be another nice day. Wish I had my V3i now. A couple more months and I'll have it..of course by then we'll be knee deep in the white stuff...

Does anyone know if the V3 is a true Multi-frequency machine or is it a three frequency machine?

Don't bother with reverse engineering Carl, you folks have a top notch machine with the Spectra series, no doubt. I just had to pick on ya some. I think the three freq. cover the spectrum quite well (yeah, pun intended), and the user interface of White's machines in general allow for quick...

Does anyone know if the V3 is a true Multi-frequency machine or is it a three frequency machine?

Come on Rob, say something nice about Albert's post and underline it.... Then we can all move on to talking about the V3i. You guys all have great info on the V3i, and I appreciate it, but if I want to bicker I'll talk with the wife. :poke: Carl, thanks for the info. But I have to call...

38 degrees in MI. a great day for a hunt

As you know Gary, this is unusual for us Michiganders in January. Looks like you picked a great year to get into metal detecting! Just think of your detector as a warm weather Vexilar.....

    Another deal gone right!

A big thank you to Finds forums and to Poppy2 (George) for a stress free transaction. I rec'd my XLT promptly, as described, and packed to handle an air drop from space..... I've never seen so much bubble wrap! :lmfao: I'd highly recommend this fella... Travis

    New To This Site

Let us know how you get along with it. I'm still on the fence between a V3i and the Vx3. The nice thing is that the Vx3 is built off of a proven platform so you have none of the typical bugs of a new machine. Good huntin' Travis

    LCD vs LED?

Sure, it wasn't fixed when I mentioned it....:sadwalk: :lmfao: I expect to see LED screens in metal detectors in the near future. Like I said before, Light Emitting Diodes are suppposed to have a super long life, and as earthmansurfer pointed out, much more efficient. Either way, now we know....

Vaquero up for sale or trade

I have a Vaquero with extra coil and rod for sale or trade. Looking for $350 plus actual shipping. I'm looking for trades, too. Could use a Garrett Propointer. Not opposed to kicking in some cash to upgrade. Let me know what you have. Here's the link to the original post...

Vaquero with extra coil for trade

I have a Tesoro Vaquero with standard 9x8 concentric coil and a 5.75 widescan coil with extra rod. After a couple of months with this machine I've decided that I enjoy the VDI machines more. I'm looking to trade straight across for either a M6 or MXT. The Vaquero works as it should and has been...

    VX3 Questions

I'm in the same boat as you, Moose. I cannot swing the extra for a V3i. Many say the difference price wise is minimal for what you get in performance between the V3i and Vx3. Especially once you add the charger pack and D2 coil to the price of a Vx3. Honestly, I like the 950 coil. I had a 6x10...

Scratch that, I don't see it in the manual. Maybe it's a typo?

    Displays

http://www.kellycodetectors.com/compare/?a=122 In case it doesn't go through this is a comparison chart used by Kellyco. About half way down you will see the display on the Vx3 is LED.... You will have to add the V3i btw to see it uses a LCD. I believe it is also in the manual, not 100% sure...

    Displays

I'm curious as to the performance of the Vx3's LED display as compared to the V3i's LCD screen? I know, theoretically a light emitting diode is never supposed to 'burn out', but the earth was considered flat at one time, too... LCD's used to fade after time, but I and many of my fishing buddies...

Vaquero helps me get my first silver at the beach!

Since the maiden trip with the Vaq. in the front yard went so well I decided to head to the beach today. Long story short I found not one but two silver rings today in the dry sand.....My first silver rings! Needless to say I'm very happy with this detector. More importantly .....within a couple...
