I just sprayed a bee in my house and took a macro

Seeing him close up I almost feel sorry for the guy.

The Answer to the riddle...I'll post this separately

Actually Rusty had one right in his hand in his photo! A guitar tuner gear (don't know the official name for it). Thanks all for trying to guess!

Ok I've had a couple of requests for guessing a picture....this one may be too easy

Obviously it's a mechanical thingy but it goes to a relatively common object that some people own. What do you think it is?

Just brought in this nickle sized flower & took a shot with....

a 50-500mm telephoto set to about 300mm. It's not my macro but does a good job at close ups I think.

Ok, a little bit of fun, hopefully. Can anyone guess where I took this shot?

I'll let you know sometime tomorrow.....c'mon....some guesses from you guys please. :)

Anyone interested in a quick HDR demonstration?

Most of you know about this but for those who don't....Our eyes have a great range in seeing lights and darks but when we try to photograph something such as a room with a bright window and shadowy room, depending on different factors you will probably get a nice photo of the window but the rest...

One more of a detail of that old house.....

Hope nobody's mad because I post so much...I really love to share photos, otherwise it's not as much fun. Just wish more of the 'lurkers' here would post....we would love to see them!!

A couple of shots from the last few days....nothing special....

One is an old gate that is on the grounds of an old school. The other is a shot of the moon from my apartment deck. Took several with different settings until it came out half way decent....I wish I had a better setting for it, like a lake or something.

Found a cool old 1845 structure and took photos yesterday

Just out of town. It's on the historic register so you can't detect around it darn it! The owner from NY is letting just fall apart....what a shame.

Glass 'art'....I had assembled awhile back.....

......some glass slides, prism, some glassware from the trash at the fiber optics company, and a synthetic ruby rod I had made a laser from many years ago. Lit the unit up from below with a small pointer laser that caused the different glass compositions to fluoresce with different colors, even...

Took this last night ...quick shot but I liked the way it came out

I used a 55mm lens on auto and liked the results. Still I alway do some editing like cropping and brightness etc. when needed. This wasn't noisy but I ran it through a noise filter to soften it a bit.

Found this in park where I found really old coins...any idea of date?

Looks like a bureau key plate but hand stamped. In same area found 1732 reale and 1818 large cent but it's been a park for a long time and still is.

Took a bunch of my photos and made this out of them....

Let's see....my wife's muffler, a light bulb, cat's eyes, feathers, awning, moon....reminds me of some sort of sesame street character

Have any of you tried colorizing an old bland and white photo? ....My first try...

My grandfather 1920 from my father's side. Pretty satisfied with it but it took me several hours of work.

With the gracious permission of Nauti Neil

I have a bit of an obsession of often wanting to bring out more out of a photo so I played around a bit with this shot by Nauti Neil to try and enhance it.....hope I did it justice. All his shots were great to begin with though.

Caught this guy after several tries....finally blue skies and nice weather today

Most snow is melted except in shadows and where it was piled up...beautiful weather last couple of days. 500mm hand held and manually focused....was quite a distance off.
