    -92 is the type of mineral. In your case -92 vdi which is iron mineralized. The 2.7 is the strength or amount of minerals. If ur ground was 0 or near 0 it would be salt mineral.

    Bubba I think u need a concentric coil like ur xlt has. That will help block nails better. If u use the dd ur gonna have to put up with some and just try to identify them

    I would say no Martin. U change Rd to match ur sweep speed. U change ur sweep speed to match ur filter. Faster filter require a faster sweep. Therfore based on the chart if ur sweep is faster u should lower the rd

    The trick is to get the machine stable without false signals I started with the 10 band. But now I'm using the 5 with a much slower sweep. Regardless of filter keep the rx lower to start maybe 7 or 8 that should make for a quiet machine and a pleasant first hunt

    hi folks im new the v3 and love it so far . ive been using a program similar to magics where is basically just disc the ground and have tones set for everything else. my gound is very mild about -77 to -84 and .5 to1% depending on where i am i usually have thr rx at about 11 and disc about 90...

    Yeah my v machine isn't going anywhere lol. I will say to that my ground is super mild at -77 vdi and .5% strength. When I sensitivity zoom my signal loss is less with the coil on the ground vs in the air. At rx 15 my loss is only 10%

    funny u posted that observation. yesterday a buried a silver dime in my backyard at a measured 9" to the top of the dirt ,so with the grass she is 10" . i just got my v3 ,so i thought i could use it to tweak my machine for optimum performance . i tried every program and setting and nothing hits...

    its made from nickel lol 100% . that particular site is nice on coins for what ever reason and nickel coins come out with purple green and yellow patinas on them just beautyful

    Thanks Mike not a fishscale tho that's a dime. Fishscale is pre 1921 5c smaller and thinner than a dime. Really liking this v cheers
