Not much on the F11, F22 and F44

I figured the new line would have more exposure than has been listed,

    Oh......the pain

After sitting all winter, when I get back out to start detecting, I notice that after the first hunt for the season, the upper front part of my legs get so sore and the next two days I have to sit and wait for them to get used to getting up and down to retrieve targets. It s**ks to get old.

Learning to understand when the LRP speaks

Learning it's language. Went out today and had a better experience. It does take a little time. But once enough time is spent, it starts to produce. I can just about spot a pull tab every time. Some hit a constant 36 with a 37 in there. Some hit 36 2 out of 5 times with higher and lower hits the...

    WTT my Fisher F2

I have a one and a half year old Fisher F2. Hasn't been used much. It has the 4". 8" and a NEL Sharpshooter coil. It's so much like the Quick Draw Pro which I use more since the screen is bigger. I'll post pics if I get an interest. I might consider a trade for a Tesoro or something different...

    Fisher F80

About a year out according to Fisher today on Facebook. The F22 and F44 can go underwater but not the F11.

If you own a LRP, please read this.

In detectingMO's youtube video on his school hunt, he has trouble trying to ID nickels, as the ones he found at 4"-6" didn't lock on and the signal traveled the arc even into Iron. I noticed the same thing on the area of nickels, or even a piece of foil or a flat pull tab. While the LRP locks...

More on the Land Ranger Pro

Reading into different detectors further, I can see a lot of similarities FTP engineers used to design the LRP around other FTP products. The LRP has a lot of the options available on the Fisher F19, except the FeTone feature. A similar conductivity arc. The big difference is that the F19 uses...

    AWP does great

A nice sheath for my Viking and XPointer. Just slit the bottom and enjoy. Lowes $11.88.

    Learning the Land Ranger Pro

Yesterday was my first day hunting this year. The ground is still wet, packed clay. I couldn't use the Lesche so grabbed the Viking. Even it had a little trouble with the initial U cut, but once the top was lifted, it did a great job beyond the 2" mark. I left the default mode 4. Hearing...

    A new Teknetics detector

Well........kind of. I love my Quick Draw Pro. Put a 7" coil on it (dropping the depth an 1") and paint the face plate with bright colors, and you have an awesome machine for kids to learn on.

    Are these Teknetics?

The Bounty Hunter Pro line. The Gold, Titanium, Platinum are almost the exact same Teknetics counterparts (Alpha, Delta, Gamma) down to the freq.(Platinum doesn't have manual GB) The Quick Draw Pro is a Eurotek with segments. The Land Ranger Pro does different things with the audio, adds...

    WTB Bounty Hunter

Coil-The plug in type for the Gold/Platinum 8" round concentric. A F5 plug in will work as well. The coil is a 8COIL-7B13. May be interested if it's attached to a Bounty Hunter Gold or a Lone Star Pro, for the whole setup.

Maiden voyage of the Quick Draw Pro

Afetr using the LRP for awhile, I decided to take the QDP out for a "quick" hunt at a ballfield. Since I bought the QDP to utilze the 10" C coil on my LRP (I am a fan of concentrics over DDs), I left the 11" DD coil on it to see how it does. Neeedless to say, I was once again impressed with the...

Dave J of FTP explaines the coil compatibilies between Fisher, BH and Teks

The Gold, Titanium, Platinum, Fisher F5, the Teknetics "Greek series", the Euroteks, and the newfangled BH's are all variants of a platform we call in-house the "13-bit platform" because of the peculiar A/D it uses to digitize the signals. Products built on this platform run at 7.8 kHz, use...

Lots of coils for the Bounty Hunter Pro line.

It would appear that NEL and Detech has been making coils for the Gold, Titanium and Platinum for some time. The Land Ranger Pro is a big hit in the Czech Republic and Russia. Here is one site I found that sells the coils for the Gold Bug Pro and BH Pro line, which works on the newer Land Ranger...

Dave J kind of explains the FTP coils

    DetectorPro's new headphones- Treasure Ears

Anyone tried them yet? At $49.95 they seem like a good inbetween price from the cheapies and the Grey Ghost.(I've seen them for $45 shipped) Treasure EarsTM stereo headphones were designed to accommodate the detectorist who desires a lightweight comfortable headphone with a price point below...

Maiden voyage of the Land Ranger Pro

What a well designed detector that is light and powerful. Not your typical Bounty Hunter, but a unit that has many features of the big boys, and does a great job in giving the hunter the mental image of ground targets. I started by digging everything and soon found that tabs (MY greatest enemy)...
