    Compadre just came

4 minutes to put it together and in 5 I'm out the door with my Lesche. The shipper wrapped it in cellophane, so the box is pretty much destroyed. The inside flaps were mangled as well. It had Tesoro tape on it though and it appears to work. Dan

    A mistake?

I ordered a beach scoop from the K co in Fl and though the price was listed as $64.95 it came up $49.95 including delivery. It's the RTG scoop with extension handle 5" opening. Thought I would pass it on as I don't know if it's a mistake or a unlisted sale, but the price is great. Model #519-11720

Thoughts on 5,75 and which detector

Confusing topic, eh? I have a Deleon with 4 coils but the smallest is the 7" DD. So I want to get the 5.75. I also want a simple detector for my wife to use when we go together. My original thought was to buy the 5.75 and a lower rod then buy a Silver for her and if need be, it could be my...

A good personal experience with Richard@Backwoods

I had the privilege to meet with Richard at his home/business. He is only 30 minutes away. I can tell you he is genuine and sincere in his passion for detecting and his business ethics. A great person with a wealth of MDing knowledge. I bought a set of SunRay Pro's and saw a few more things I...

    Want input

Hi all. Been a while since I was here. I'm trying to find a set of headphones for my Deleon. I still have the freebie that came in a promo (cheap). I'm not familiar if I need a limiter or not, but would like dual volume. I'm not trying to do the "whats the best detector" type newbie question...

Is there a censorship program on here?

When I try to mention a MD site, I get a bunch of "crap" instead of the name. I have to separate the letters to get the point across. Is there any need for this? Is this a monopolized site for certain dealers or a free site for MD talk? Anyone with half a brain knows you can still get the...

    Great detector bag

Bought a detector bag from Brian at south. treasures (their own brand). Have to say that it is the best I have seen. It holds my Deleon, all coils with extra rods (including my 10X12"), headphones, diggers (including my Lesche shovel), and still has room. It's made good and strong and has a...

Can't understand why my Deleon gets a perfect coin display and tone on a crushed can.

You would think Tesoro would utilize the same feature in the Garrett 1350 that at least gives a reference between coin size and can size, on their higher end units.

I couldn't get but one person on the Tesoro forum to answer this.

I want to get some good digging tools. I understand that Lesche is good. I looked at the Ground Shark, but someone said the "Little Eagle" was best. I think that may be called the Sampson now. I was also thinking of buying the hand digger (#85, I think). Can anyone tell me what tools are good...

Anyone here use the Lesche Ground Shark digging tool?

Is it worth the investment? Thanks, Dan

    Has any one done this?

Ground balanced a preset to their native soil? Tesoro says if you send a soil sample, they will GB your unit to that soil. Makes me think that all Tesoro's have a potentiometer that you can turn and GB it yourself. I know the Whites Classics have that, because Mr Bill will add the dial for you...

    What's that noise?

Was out hunting a baseball parks today with the Deleon. Had the sense set at high (9) and disc up to coins. Got a good hit in 95 with silver coins pegged and depth at 8". So I could make sure of the PP (which is usually good enough in DISC), I switched to All Metal and used the VCO to give me...

    Simple question

For my Ace 250 I have the stock and sniper coil. Is it worth getting the 9X12? Or do you find it something you don't use much? Thanks, Dan

The quest for the perfect detector

After 7 months of playing, prodding, reading and trading, I have become content on having all I need for my detecting hobby. Knowing that there is no perfect or best detector, each of us has their own needs as to what would be the ideal unit and set up. Many posts on the forums I have visited...

Rant on some high end detectors

One thing that really upsets me, is these so called high end detectors that use the monoplaner touchpads. The advantage is supposed to be it's ability to protect the touchpad from dirt, moisture, etc. When I had my Garrett CXIII, pinpointing was such a pain because you had to push hard on the...

Am I right on Tesoro pinpointing?

On other machines, the pinpoint button is used to access the non motion AM mode used to X the target. I am assuming, since the Tesoro's recovery speed is so fast in the DISC mode, pinpointing really doesn't need to be done in the AM mode, as the DISC tone is so fast, it beep's directly over the...

    I'm sold

Had my new Deleon in my trunk today, and at lunch I figured I would go search a small softball park for about 30 minutes before going back to work. Just walking behind the backstop I found 3 quarters, 1 dime, 2 pennies and a small valve. I had the disc set high at coins and dug anything at 95...

Should I get rid of this coil?

A 7" Wide Scan (DD) coil came as an extra with my Deleon. I don't have any mineral problems where I live. I guess I could use it when I go to the beach once a year. Thinking about trading it for a 5.75 or 4 concentric or as a buffer in getting a 12X10. Anyone using this coil and liking it? Dan

OK. Just got the Deleon and....

turned it on for the first time and saw Tesoro, then DELEON, then it went nuts. I did this over and over on my back patio, until I remembered that my Bandido couldn't set it's threshold on my back patio due to it's frequency. My Garrett's at 6.5 are much more stable, so I figured I would move...
