    Hi-pro vs Deep silver Vs your mods ?

    Hey Jbow, just an fyi, that statement is incorrect. Normalize is active on every stock program regardless if it is running all 3 frequencies or just one. Why jer is seeing a vdi shift I do not know and personally have not seen it to any great extent. My Standing Liberty was a consistent...

    Hi-pro vs Deep silver Vs your mods ?

    I I just recently got 8 1/2" deep(Standing Liberty) with the stock DD coil and witnessed a buddy get 9 1/2"(wheatie) with the same coil. The deepest I got so far with my 5.3 is 6", but then again I only use it in high trash areas so it doesn't see cleaner, open fields where most deeper targets...

    :super::detecting:Old field, NEW machine! DAY2!

    To be honest, once I saw the "size" of the object, it grabbed my attention and thus I didn't pay attention to the exact wave form like I wished I had. Not to mention I was roasting in the the heat!:hot:

    :super::detecting:Old field, NEW machine! DAY2!

    Soooo true Larry. Trust me, there was no way I wasn't digging it...just threw out the specifics mainly to show that the sizing tool the V provides us can be very useful. You take that, along with the wave form(s), VDI, video, audio, etc and you can then make the best decision based on ALL of...

    :super::detecting:Old field, NEW machine! DAY2!

    Hey jimmyk! Thanks for correcting my error yesterday re: my walking liberty typo as either it or the subliminal message brought me some luck!!!! I had about 1 1/2 hours today to hit the park again. Of course I started with my custom silver program and it got me some clad and 3 Wheaties...1956...

    Old field, NEW machine!

    These two beauties were found today at a field that a buddy of mine and myself POUNDED with our XLT's for over a year now...at least 20 times. The field is only about 2 acres. Prior to today we pulled out 8 pieces of silver total with the deepest about 6 1/2".This was the first time I used my...

    Is recovery delay independent of ground filter ?

    Excellent short and to the point answer re: recovery delay.....I'm gonna use that quote if I'm ever asked by a curious V user....or any user for that matter.

    Is recovery delay independent of ground filter ?

    Please correct me if I'm wrong forum members, but yes, they are independent. Your ground filter setting should be mainly determined by 2 factors...your personal sweep speed and the ground mineralization of the area you are hunting.

    Will be in Western Maryland this Saturday with the V!

    I'll be hunting some private land that did not produce very much this time last year with my XLT, but I'm gonna give my Vision a shot. Anyone near that area and want to hook up or have any recommendations where to go?
  13. D

    Had to do it

    Who am I to judge, but why the Vision?? Don't get me wrong, I have one, but why would you not want the headphone fix?....unless you think you purchased a collector's item!

    You do realize they are one in the same don't you? Or am I missing your attempt at a joke?

    Gain on V3, anything above 1 unstable

    Do what Larry said, but just in case, be sure you did NOT turn Transmit boost on as that is probably causing your issues IF it is on.
  16. D

    Rx Gain 15 without Boost vs Rx Gain 7 with Boost?

    good one...especially considering TX Boost on drains the battery MUCH faster! Anyone got the answer?

    Computer program for V3

    Then what you must do is chain the dog up and turn the fence off:biggrin: You will barely hear the barks with the headphones on!:devil:

    Computer program for V3

    Jason, try frequenct offset....it works wonders with EMI.
