    My opinion, if you need this "proof" you are looking for you should just stick with your DFX....I think you will be happier that way. Heck, I'm not letting my XLT go, but on the same note....I know my V3 is the top gun just from the little time I have owned it.

    Larry, you beat me to the punch! I do the same thing for my XLT and get 10+ hours out of them from 1 charge. Seems a lot easier(and safe) to do and fairly cheap, especially in the long run.

    Super helpful! Thanks ak! Are these upgrades free? If I were to send in my unit, would the 1.2 "fix" be preformed on my detector....meaning would they replace my memory chip/software?
