    V3i with wireless & Pinpointer II

    I was using the pinpointer in audio mode and the wireless headphones were picking up some "static" from it. I switched over to vibration mode and there was no static. Is this a normal condition? Can a tech savy person enlighten me on why this occurs?

    What do detectorist use to put dirt on while digging a hole

    I use a 14'x14" piece of old denim (blue jeans), the fabric is pretty slick and not much dirt sticks to it. I carry that and my accumulated trash in an old skeet shooting pouch, it will hold about as much junk as I willing to dig.
