Different Perspective – 20 Gold Rings of Yesteryear Equal to One Today!

I worked on a program with Steve's son for a few years and heard many stories of detecting fields during all sorts of weather, even using axes to cut through frozen ground to retrieve targets. Steve put several CZ5s into water proof boxes with the knobs on extenders through the boxes with O...

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

The recent gold and silver prices has me remembering some words from the past: Alan Greenspan's phrase "irrational exuberance".

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

Little melted blobs from drink cans thrown in a fire? ... on certain beaches I get a lot of those too.

    Fisher CZ-21

Only reason I have not gotten a CS4pi is that the box is not rated for going for a swim. Thought about getting one and seeing how it could be made water proof enough, but I have too many projects already. Sure seems to be a very affordable pulse induction detector with a lot of good user...

    Fisher CZ-21

Ever since my CZ20 died (no longer ground balances and lost depth) and First Texas stopped their low cost conversion to a CZ21, I stopped using that CZ. It paid for itself many times over. I still break out the CZ6a for wet sand detecting. I've got Excals that I picked up used for good prices...

    Interesting pendant find.

    Perhaps this is it: https://www.numiscorner.com/products/890571-coin-arcadius-honorius-or-theodosius-ii-nummus-406-408-alexandria?srsltid=AfmBOopAt-Bw2MxYbt5riWt9SuUYCq1LdCLz1hQ2eMn8KKHJCH8OEtOO

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

Wife and I were in a thrift store today and normally go through the silverware to see if there is any real silver there. It has been a couple years since I found real silverware (we see a lot of silver plated), although I have found some way under-priced jewelry that was either silver or gold...

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

That key looks like the front door key from our house that was just off the Magothy ... I don't recall losing one, maybe one of the kids did. All four kids were up and down the Magothy in the canoe quite a bit and swimming in several places too. LOL

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

Nice! Those half dollars are about the cleanest old coins I've seen come out of the bay waters. What I've pulled out over the years looked more like the Mercury dime in the holder ... barely recognizable. Hope you have a great year!

    Wrapped Gifts on the Beach

You are not real far from Jacksonville area beaches. Could try there.

    Fisher Cz5

Welcome back to detecting. CZ5 is a great detector. Hope you find a lot of good stuff with it.

I set my cz3d up on an Anderson shaft

Should be balanced well and easy to swing. I set up one of my CZ's like that a long time ago. I went back to the standard shaft set up because of how I run it. I run it mostly in autotune (all metal) and when over a target flip it to disk 0 to listen to the tones, then back to autotune. It is...

Well, I'm back from the OBX beach week.... Theres many words I could use on how it went..

We will be down there in February ... with an excursion planned for New Orleans part way through the week. I was on the beach in North Myrtle Beach yesterday and they are setting up for another beach replenishment. Considering that nearly every drain for street water run-off that empties onto...

    Fisher cz6a

Might want to ask over on the Fisher CZ forum. That said, what is the trouble? CZ6a normally hits gold pretty well. Small gold earrings with open, not closed, loops might hit as a bouncing low tone to mid tone, or if very small (such as just a gold backing or retaining clip) might even stay low...

    Baseless conspiracy theory.

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

Yup. Time will tell ... now explain where the acquisition funds came from to back the theory.

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

First paragraph sounds like a conspiracy theory. We are not in an entirely different situation / position than ever before. As for the Federal Reserve, it can be abolished just as it was created with a bill from Congress. You are giving them more power than they actually have. As for massive...

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

Read the history of it and why we will remain off the gold standard on the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis web page. Heritage Foundation Project 2025 talks about returning to the gold standard, but that is not realistic with the amount of gold being produced by the US and what it would cost to...

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

Answer to question is no, we are not going back on a gold standard (or a silver standard). The dollar is not dropping drastically against world currencies either. Sure there is some fluctuation. Our neighbors are not "making deals around us", we are negotiating with virtually everyone for most...
