WHAT WAS THE BEST F.SERIES FISHER EVER MADE???

That 6 inch concentric football on the F75 is the best combination I've ever used to get close to metal fencing, poles on playground equipment or right up to the edge of reinforced concrete driveways or sidewalks. Amazing ability to sneak out targets right next to big iron that overloads other...

    Needed info on Aquapulse detectors

Eric Foster passed away in November, 2022 from an aggressive brain tumor. His designs were excellent and he is very missed. I am not familiar with the details of those particular detectors. Might try asking on the geotech forum or detector prospector forum too.

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

Well, silver is more plentiful in ores. Then it comes down to demand vs the available supply. Was reading that demand for silver in manufacturing is actually down this year, but the supply of newly mined silver was just under demand. I'm going to sit back and see what happens. I don't buy the...

    Silver is Going Crazy!!

I've got a nice collection of found silver rings, bracelets and earrings. I'm holding for now ... for no particular reason, I'm just going to hold on to them.

Looking for a 3D file for a Tesoro battery door.

I was going to say to look over on the Geotech forums ... and then I see you already have.

The 8 inch Tornado cable problem

Go to the dollar store and get a cheap plastic food container (or an aluminum half pan) and let the Tupperware alone. That Tupperware is expensive!

    Thomas Dankowski info ??

Dimitar Gargov developed the Tarsacci detector. He worked for Fisher labs at one time and was designer for the Coin Search and possibly some other detectors of that era.

    Bounty hunter Big bud

This is what I found ... not a lot, but possibly helpful. Sometimes manuals show up on ebay. I don't see one listed now for a Big Bud. https://treasurelinx.geotech1.com/BountyHunter/PDFs/BH_BigBudProSelect200D.pdf

    Double your cents

That is why I'm holding all the copper ones I get. Easy to sort copper ones from zinc clad with the F75 set on four tone. About half the ones that I get kicked out from the coin counter will get counted after I take a hammer to them to flatten the bubbles on the surface. Probably not worth the...

Excalibur II squeals every 30 seconds or so

Are you using the stock Minelab charger? It is not a peak detection charger so it is easy to overcharge the batteries by leaving it on too long and damaging cells. If you have not switched to a peak detection / smart charger, I'd recommend getting one.

Excalibur II squeals every 30 seconds or so

Thing about the low battery squeal is that it is not normally intermittent. Once the battery drops below a certain voltage, the detector squeals and it is a death squeal until the batteries are recharged and not something that lets you go back detecting without charging the batteries. I had a...

Wow! That Old Ring I Pulled Out Of The River Checked Out As A Genuine Ruby. Rings Found Covered The Cost Of A New Vortex!

Don't sell yourself short. Detectorist experience counts too. Nice find on that Ruby. I suspect ultimate value has more to do with finding the right person with a lot of desire to own a piece like that than it does with just a size, and clarity / color formula valuation.

    Excalibur remote pinpoint switch replacement

For me, holding the push button down while exploring a target, in particular when I have gloves on, is not something I liked to do. A quick flick of the switch, either way, is what I prefer. Cheers! And hope you are getting some quality detecting time in as well as time with the grandkids!

Out on the beach let the dredging begin!

Yes. My nearest beaches are where floating targets were set up a little bit off shore for practice prior to sending pilots off to fight WWII.

    Excalibur remote pinpoint switch replacement

Are you using push button or toggle for your detectors? I have an old sword model that I got many years ago already modified from Mel Parker that has a push button. I much prefer a toggle switch.

Out on the beach let the dredging begin!

Nice. I hate it when the beach replenishment dredging is going on with the beaches I mostly hunt. It brings in layers of bits of busted up dune fencing and 50 caliber casings and bullet points from WW II. Not a lot else. Last couple of times, there were few 50 caliber stuff and a lot of busted...

For those about to Rock…a nor’easter!

Good luck and let us know how it goes. More often than not, I found the nor'easters pushed more sand up on the beach than they stripped. For OBN's sake, I hope the center of rotation is east of the bay and he gets some time with the water pushed out of the western side of the bay to get to...

Seems there’s no stopping Silver & Gold!

I had a a good feeling of the top when gold got around $1800 in 2012 and I sold some for around $1750 per ounce. I have no feel for it right now. I'm holding for now and hoping that is not a mistake. It's been a couple months since I added to the gold pile. On Sunday I got a ring that looked...

    Welcome back VaBchMax

We actually get to the area about once a year, sometimes twice ... just have not run across many on the beaches for a long time. Wife likes to get a Shrimp Burrito at Jessy's Taqueria in Ocean View. When there we tend to hit the bay side beaches more than the ocean side. Hope to get back there...
