Feast your eyes on this one boys!

Great find. It was interesting to research and learn about the 1834 Whig campaign. Can we see the back?

A Few More Finds Before Winter Slammed the Door

Great finds! On your "small pin" google luckenbooth brooch or pin I think it is a version of that, albeit a single heart and not two intertwined. Congrats!

Detecting related book ideas for Christmas?

What are some of the better reference books for coins and relics out there related to our hobby? My family asks me for gift ideas all the time. I swing the Nox 800 and I've put the Andy Sabisch book on my list. I'm also aware of Buckleboy William Plummer's book "Relics: A Guide to...

Silver half on top of the grass??

Lucky find congrats! After a day of detecting I was frustrated having been totally skunked. On my way home I stopped at a sub shop to get some eats. When I was paying I eyeballed a Morgan next to the register. The girl said someone paid using it. I asked her if I could swap it for a dollar...

Lost Wedding Band 20 Years Ago

Low level lake = big silver, seated

This is not my normal type of detecting. I much prefer fields or woods but with the drought and low level of this fresh water lake I decided to try this rocky sandy beach area. It paid off with a sterling silver spoon bowl, a Walker (my 4th) and an 1853/arrows seated quarter. I don't love the...

    1723 Woods Hibernia, spectacle buckle

As Targets said, British minted coin. It was originally intended for Ireland (thus the harp and Hibernia motif) but the Irish didn't like the coin so the Brits said what the heck let's send them over to the colonists. It's my second of these, and my first was in even better condition.

    1723 Woods Hibernia, spectacle buckle

Got into some Colonial last weekend and finally found something worth posting! Unearthed a 1723 Woods Hibernia and a complete spectacle buckle from a farm field permission. I've included the "in situ" pics for those of you who like that kind of stuff.

Hey Forum! Joined here many years ago but was never really active, so I'm checking back in and will be stopping by regularly. I hunt with the Nox 800 now and am still addicted to metal detecting here in New England. I'll post my new finds going forward. If you are interested in any of my best...

Hello fellow hunters...new member from Massachusetts here (North Shore/Merrimack Valley). I had an older White's years ago that I never used much, but I started detecting intensely again about 3 years ago when I got my Minelab SE Pro. I'm lucky enough to live in an area where we find some old...
