    OK,one more.........

    Found this Silver Thimble on private property next to the Chickamauga Battle Field a while back.The only one I have ever found that was Silver.It was mashed flat and I straightened it out.I think it turned out OK.You don't see that many.Barry.

    Batwings,Confederate and Yankee....

    Hello,here's two Carbine Sling tips usually called Batwings.The one with beveled edges is Union.The one that is plain is Confederate.I have seen only one other of the Confederate type.Found these in the same field about 30yds.apart.Thanks,Barry.
